From the bare metal exterior, to the 1,000-horsepower turbocharged LS V8, this 1967 Chevy C10 is absolutely raw. Now, we’re watching as pro driver Eric Curran takes the wheel for some fun out on the street in the following feature video.
For those who don’t know, Eric Curran has raced at the top level of motorsport for decades, with accolades that include championship wins in IMSA prototype racing. Now, Curran is showing off this impressive 1967 Chevy C10, courtesy of AutotopiaLA.
The first thing to grab us about this Chevy C10 is the raw metal finish, which looks fantastic without being overly flashy. The finish also enhances the simple, straight, boxy lines of the original design, while Curran opted to keep some of the chrome trim intact, including the bumpers. This truck is also sitting low on large 22-inch Raceline wheels, with a 305-section tire in back. The bed was mini-tubbed to accommodate the stance, while the rear wheel housings are covered in carbon fiber for an extra splash of performance flavor.
Inside, we find a fully customized interior, with this 1967 Chevy C10 rocking an upgraded audio system and upholstery from TMI. Further raw metal details complement the exterior.
Of course, the main party piece has to be the turbocharged LS V8. With an iron-block and fully built internals, this motor can gobble up ridiculous amounts of boost from the 76 mm snail, yielding that magic four-figure output figure. All the go hits the rear wheels through a four-speed transmission.
Helping to keep this thing on the road are extensive suspension upgrades, with new custom upper and lower control arms and a four-link rear. There’s also a set of large Wilwood brakes, although Curran has plans to upgrade to even bigger units in the future.
