LT5-Powered 1969 Chevy C10 Brings Classic Looks And 755 Horsepower: Video

You gotta love a classic pickup stuffed with modern power, which is exactly what you get with this 1969 Chevy C10 motivated by a 755-horsepower supercharged V8. Now, we’re watching as this truck has a little fun on the street in the following feature video.

Coming to us from the folks at the Roadster Shop, the video is a little over 13-and-a-half minutes long, and provides a ride-along and plenty of specs on what went into the build. Outside, we spot classic styling with black body panels and chrome trim bits, while the interior is equally classy, adding slight side bolstering to the original bench seat, plus wood paneling for the doors and dash.

The overall look is relatively tame, but the new Forgeline RS5 wheels provide a hint as to what’s under the hood. The wheels are staggered at 19 inches by 10.5 inches in front, and 20 inches by 12 inches in the rear, with tire sizing set at 295/35R19 and 345/30R20, respectively.

That’s a lot of meat, and this Chevy C10 definitely needs it. Providing the motivation is the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT5 gasoline engine, rated at 755 horsepower, all of which is sent rearwards through the 10L80 10-speed automatic transmission.

Roadster Shop based this Chevy C10 on the company’s Standard Spec chassis, which provides a more “period-appropriate” ride height compared to the usual slammed Chevy C10 builds that are so common these days. As such, this particular chassis doesn’t require modification of the floor, fenders, or rear wheel tub.

The suspension components include single-adjustable Fox SV coilovers, while Baer is onboard to throw the anchor with six-piston Pro-Plus calipers matched to 14-inch rotors up front, and four-piston calipers and 11-inch rotors in the rear.

Overall, this Chevy C10 doesn’t scream for attention – unless, of course, the driver buries their right foot. Check out the full feature right here:

    • Four or five years ago, if I were to reply to such a comment, there'd be zero possibility either of us would concider at least appreciating, if not agreeing with, any of what the other was saying. With the birth of my first child nearly 5 1/2 years ago & our second just 5 weeks shy of his 1st birthday, I have gained an understanding of just how important it is to appreciate the power of words.
I'd wager my LM7 powered 1967 Dodge D200 Sweptline pickup that we will never knowingly meet in the flesh. Hell, even with a willingness to wager a few $$ on the prospect of you being an online forum troll, it's not lost on me the fact that someone will likely read this thread at some point.
That being said, rather than delve into the myriad negative implications of such animous being considered acceptable in this new world of human interaction (i.e.,: the internet), I will simply point out, without judgement, that your words are just that: YOUR WORDS.
Even if you are not concerned with any potential impact such unfounded condemnations might have on those who you so readily prejudge, I can't help but assume that, if it were realized how others will ostensibly perceive your moral character when given nothing more than your aforementioned comment as basis for their conclusion, you'd recognize that a disservice is being done to everyone, yourself included.

  • James, nowadays is stupid to think that a CD is the way to go. However, no actual streaming sounds as good as a concert hall recorded CD in a wired BOSE system.
What I say is let the people that like the burnouts to do them while they can, just as my family let me watch the LeMans original movie in Blue Ray format as many times I want. It is the way life should be enjoyed. The trend or the mode will get here anyways.....
