Produced at the zenith of the muscle car era, the Hurst/Olds is one of the most important machines of its time, offering impressive performance and big power, all matched to an iconic look. Now, this gorgeous, fully restored 1969 Hurst/Olds is up for grabs in a new Dream Giveaway sweepstakes.
While this 1969 Hurst/Olds certainly looks fantastic, it’s much more than just any old muscle car – in fact, based on the order in which Demmer Engineering converted 1969 Cutlass 442’s into Hurst/Olds muscle cars, this is the first 1969 Hurst/Olds ever produced, as verified by documentation from Hurst Performance and the Hurst/Olds Club of America.
“No other 1969 Hurst/Olds in the world today comes with this incredible provenance,” Dream Giveaway declares.
Making it move is a numbers-matching 455 cubic-inch Big Block V8 engine, while details include a Hurst Dual-Gate shifter, power windows, power brakes, and power steering, as well as dual comfort air conditioning. The impressive muscle machine is also equipped with the Turbo 400 automatic transmission to drive the rear wheels.
“No wonder it was called, ‘GM’s Gentleman’s Muscle Car’ back in the day,” Dream Giveaway says.
The recipient of an extensive frame-off restoration, this 1969 Hurst/Olds now presents in concours-ready condition, and even comes with the original dealer sales order and the original window sticker.
Now, this 1969 Hurst/Olds is on offer in the latest Dream Giveaway sweepstakes, with interested participants encouraged to purchase tickets for a chance to win this gorgeous muscle car. Proceeds will go to benefit veterans’ and children’s charities.

Fantastic. Used to love these.
Needs stock wheels since it is so rare. Crager’s do give a sharp Davy 2 look however. Drove one of these one night in 1973 when a friend and I were in HS. It was raining and when you barely touched the accelerator it would break loose. His car dealer Dad sold it back to the at the time sick original owner. It was just another muscle car to us teenagers back in the day.
I remember a guy driving thru the HS lot in one of these, while the rest of us drooled. It was the early 70's, muscle cars ruled.
Friend’s Dad was the largest used car dealer in our area of North Ms. Bloom began to fade in early ‘70’s on muscle due to Arab oil crisis, high insurance rates , Federal emission standards. His Dad would go North to buy cars to recondition and sell. He and I were dating girls who were best friends at the time. We got our pick of cars every weekend when the truck came in. 1969 442, 69 Camaro SS396 4sp, the Hurst Olds, 71 Chevelles SS 454, and a 71 (?) Dodge Demon 340 6 pack 4 sp. from Mr. Norm’s Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago. The Demon ended the party as my friend rolled it drag racshing on HWY 25 just out of town. The quarter was painted off and even the cops came to watch. Those were the day. After this were had to move to a country road in the bottoms for Sunday afternoon racing.
