2020 Chevrolet Sonic: First Look At New Cayenne Orange Metallic Color

The 2020 Chevrolet Sonic features various minor changes and updates, including the addition of two new exterior colors: Oasis Blue and Cayenne Orange Metallic. Here’s our first look at the bold, new orange hue.

Availability

Assigned color code GLL and touch-up paint code WA-324E, Cayenne Orange Metallic is the only orange hue available for the 2020 Chevrolet Sonic. It’s also one of five metallic colors available for Chevy’s subcompact car.

The new Cayenne Orange Metallic color is not included in the base price of the 2020 Sonic. Instead, it will cost an extra $395 and is also only offered on hatchback models. Cayenne Orange Metallic is available in conjunction with all Sonic hatchback trim levels and can only be matched to the Jet Black interior color combination.

It’s worth noting that the addition of the Cayenne Orange Metallic hue is a common theme for the 2020 model year, as several Chevrolet vehicles have adopted the color – including the 2020 Bolt EV (see the 2020 Bolt EV in Cayenne Orange Metallic) as well as the 2020 Equinox (see the Equinox in Cayenne Orange Metallic).

Launch Timeframe

As of this writing, 2020 Sonic units are just beginning to arrive at dealers, as the GM Lake Orion plant in Orion Township, Michigan has only recently started to produce the vehicle. As such, 2020 Sonic models in the Cayenne Orange Metallic exterior color are only just starting to hit dealer lots. Availability will vary by dealer, so check with yours for complete details.
