We haven’t heard much in regards to the Opel and PSA Peugeot-Citroën partnership, however the collaboration is still alive and well. We heard in 2013 the automakers were working on C-segment and B-segment vehicles together, and now, a Peugeot-based B-segment Opel test mule has been spotted by Autoevolution.
At a first glance the mule appears to be a standard Peugeot 2008 crossover, however AE points out the vehicle has German Opel “GG” number plates, evidence the car belongs Opel. The test mule also has a slightly longer wheelbase than a standard 2008, a Citroen steering wheel and testing equipment in the cabin.
What future Opel model could this test mule be hinting at? Well, the 2008 chassis doesn’t seem like it could support a new Meriva MPV, and it’s too large to be a Mokka replacement, and too small to be an Antara replacement. It’s possible this could be an all-new model, slotting in between the Mokka and Antara.

one hates Europe and the European cars. Europe is bad, and European cars are bad.
people have a right to hate. European cars rust.
I confess that the cars rust and European cars are also problems.
This is new Meriva test mule.
You probably don't know, but 2008 is smaller than Mokka, and offered with only FWD, so since Opel announced already that next Meriva will be crossover its very simple to make conclusion that this is Meriva ;)
Model will be produced in Spain, together with next Citroen C3 picasso
Opel did come to the conclusion that the current Meriva is too big for its class, it is rather Zafira size.
So they look towards downsizing it again to a small car platform like the Peugeot 2008.
