Chevy Camaro Set On Fire During Car Meet Sideshow: Video

Sideshows, also known as street takeovers, are inherently dangerous events, with participants blocking off public intersections and performing donuts and burnouts in front a throng of tightly packed people. As one might expect, it’s not uncommon for cars to get wrecked and onlookers to get run over. Now, it looks like we can add arson to the list of dangers, as seen in the following viral video capturing a Chevy Camaro that was set on fire at an illegal sideshow.

Per the video description, it appears as though the video was captured in the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. The video begins by showing a white Chevy Camaro (identified as a ZL1 model, although we have our doubts) doing a burnout as a crowd of people watch and capture video. A thick cloud of smoke hovers around the Camaro as the quad exhaust tips in the rear spit purple and red flames. Some of the folks in the crowd walk across the top of the Camaro and film themselves, while another member of the crowd pretends to warm their hands by the flaming exhaust tips.

Suddenly, we see someone in a white hoodie run up to the Chevy Camaro and dump the contents of what appears to be a small red gas can on the rear quarter panel.

As the liquid drips down the side of the car, it ignites on the flaming exhaust tips, turning the entire rear of the vehicle into a fireball. The crowd quickly jumps back as the car burns. A few step forward again and place random trash in the fire.

A second video shows girls dancing on top of the burning Chevy Camaro. It looks the entire car is now on fire. Meanwhile a Ford Mustang does a few donuts, nearly colliding with some of the onlookers:

    • They must have too much time on their hands. Get a job, get a life, get real. Stop the free handouts and put people back to work so they don't have so much time to cause trouble and destroy property.

    • Police and jails are meaningless unless politicians and members of the justice system are willing to correct this mess! That will be difficult to accomplish because the courts “revolving door” system is beneficial to judges and lawyers. We do live in a “supply and demand” world.

      • Because this idiocracy doesn't happen in Florida or Texas. I think you need to keep up buddy.

  • Over the past 20 years, our society has regressed by leaps and bounds. It is truly disgusting.

A large group of teenagers and 20-somethings blocking off a main street, drinking alcohol, driving erratically, jumping around, screaming, and generally acting like animals is not a good look for the human race. To put the icing on it, they set a car ablaze with the driver still inside, then decide to dance on top of the inferno. Oy vey...

  • These people are perfect example of the degradation of our society. I'm afraid we are beyond the point of no return. Anytime Elon is ready to colonize Mars....I'm in. get me out of here!

  • Todays American youth is the reason God is gonna pull the plug on this failed experiment called Humanity!

  • This is not a sideshow it’s just a take over. Don’t associate car enthusiast with these immature ass holes.

  • How can this take place in the San Francisco Bay area and be in in Northern California? That is quite an extensive area!

    • Maybe they were trying to avoid the needles and feces on the ground. I don’t think this area is as good as some here believe.

  • Note to GM Authority: You really don’t need to be adding any publicity to insane demonstrations of carelessness and lawlessness. This has nothing to do with car culture or enthusiasm!
