2022 Chevy Trailblazer Gets New Blue Glow Color: First Look

The 2022 Chevy Trailblazer adds four new exterior colors to its palette: Crimson Metallic, Vivid Orange Metallic, Mahogany Red Metallic, and Blue Glow Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new blue hue.

Assigned color code GGK and touch-up paint code WA-650G, Blue Glow Metallic is one of two blue hues, with Oasis Blue being the other choice. Blue Glow Metallic replaces Midnight Blue Metallic, which was deleted after the 2021 model year. Blue Glow Metallic is a slightly lighter hue than the discontinued Midnight Blue Metallic paint option. Despite what its name might suggest, Blue Glow is a deep navy blue exterior color.

It is worth noting all four of the new 2022 Chevy Trailblazer colors are metallic paint options, bringing the total number of metallic paint colors to seven for the 2022 Trailblazer. With four exterior paint options deleted for the 2022 Trailblazer, the addition of four new hues keeps the total number of 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer exterior paint options at 10.

The new Blue Glow Metallic color is included in the base price of the 2022 Trailblazer and is available in conjunction with four of the five interior color combinations: Jet Black, Jet Black with Medium Ash Gray, Jet Black with Almond Butter, and Jet Black with Arizona. The new hue is only available on the LS, LT, and ACTIV trim levels.

As of this writing, Chevrolet dealers might have the 2022 Trailblazer in stock, including models in Blue Glow Metallic. However, the ongoing microchip shortage has severely disrupted the supply of the Trailblazer as well as most vehicles from other manufacturers, so we recommend checking with a dealer for complete availability details.
