Chevrolet, with help from Kid Rock, unveiled the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD concept during the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and it should go over very well with truck enthusiasts.
There’s nothing more American than a pickup truck; the country’s essential workhorse and getter-doner. Kid Rock says he wanted to harness the American spirit of hard work, and apply it to the 2016 Silverado 3500 HD concept you see here. But, one of the most stand-out components are the massive smoke stacks in the rear.
Never seen on a production Chevrolet Silverado before, the chrome smoke stacks provide an escape for the Duramax diesel engine residing under the hood, and do wonders to tie together the truck’s American attitude. There’s no mistaking this creation for something outside of the US of A.
The smoke stacks, paired with the dually configuration of the truck, encompasses much of what diesel-truck enthusiasts love about their pickups. Partner that with the subtle American flag graphic, and we’re looking at one of the most patriotic displays found in Las Vegas, no doubt.
Are you liking the smoke stacks in the rear? Chevrolet has said it will gauge opinions to possibly offer some concept accessories for production. We’re not sure if the look is totally feasible, but it does look quite good.
