General Motors has announced it has begun accepting applications for the 2015 Buick Achievers Scholarship program. The program offers scholarships up to $25,000 for students seeking employment in the automotive industry.
Specifically, the scholarship targets students who are studying science, technology, engineering or math and have interest in the automotive field. It does not exclude, however, those students interested in the automotive field and all are encouraged to apply.
Last year, Michigan students were awarded $217,000 from the program. Over the past decade, more than $265 million has been awarded to deserving students with goals. The Achievers Scholarship is a great way to fund the dreams of students across the nation with interest and passion for the industry.
The GM Foundation, the hub of the Buick Achievers Scholarship, has been around since 1973, and has a specific focus for students who are female, a minority, first-generation college students and military dependents.
The deadline to submit an application for a grant is February 27th. For those interested in more information on applying for the scholarship, follow the link here.
