The first pre-production unit of the all-new 2014 Chevy Impala rolled off the line on September 5, 2012 at GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant. Looks like it was painted Summit White and was closely followed by a full-production Chevy Volt.
The new Epsilon II-based Impala is finally nearing full-scale production — and we can’t wait to get behind the wheel and take it on a cross-country road trip.

Saw the new Imp at an auto show- the car looks awesome. It looks like an Audi or Mercedes. The back looks like a bigger Hyundai Sonata though (compare them). I know Chevy has a two-light design theme, but I wish it had three lights on each side (I'm not buying a Biscayne or Bel-Air, gheez). Probably the best Impala/Caprice since 1991.
Looks way better than the big chunky Taurus. Too bad it's not RWD like the 300.
That does look nice. Glad to see they're moving from the hideous front-end (still not great, but improved over recent years)
I llike it, too, and it does look better than the older Impala (I rented a 2009 Impala for a week). I am happy that the classic "egg crate" grille has returned.
