1,226 HP Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Is A Four-Seat Hennessey Venom GT

Unrelenting aspiration is a cornerstone of success, and it’s bred from the desire to be the best in whatever it is. For car companies like Bugatti, nothing can be too powerful, beautiful, or expensive. For a tuner company like Hennessey, it’s to beat Bugatti. So when CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer states that the upcoming 1000-plus horsepower Bugatti Galibier sedan would be “faster than anything on the market,” including tuner cars, John Hennessey accepts that challenge.

“If Herr Dürheimer wants to invite us to demonstrate the top speed of our 1,226 bhp 4-seater (on the VW straight away at Ehra-Lessien), then we would be more than happy to accommodate him.” Hennessey said to Jalopnik. That 1,226 4-seater happens to be an insane tuning package offered for the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe.

Along with the horsepower comes 1,109 lb-ft torque from the VR1200 upgrade featuring a twin-turbo LS7 engine, which is shared with the $950,000 Hennessey Venom GT, a car that reaches 200 miles per hour in just 15.9 seconds. When applied in between the frame rails of the CTS-V Coupe along with a book full of other upgrades, that amount of force will send the wedged Caddy to 60 mph in an elite 2.9 seconds, while breaking the quarter mile in 10.2 seconds.

What’s more, only twelve of these coupes will be made, but Hennessey hopes to offer the VR1200 upgrade on CTS-V sedans and wagons, too. A 1,226 station wagon… what a world.
