A congenial GM Authority reader (who also happens to be a lucky owner of the new Buick LaCrosse in this photo) snapped this pic of two Tri Shield rides side-by-side. Yours truly experienced an odd sense of nostalgia to see two Buicks that were designed and engineered in completely different eras of The General’s existence: one is (we’re guessing) a 1965 Wildcat – Buick’s big and sporty muscle car – while the other is none other than the 2011 Buick LaCrosse (our review here). Boy how much cars have changed in the last 40+ years…
If you happen to catch any cars worthy of a home page presence on GM Authority, we’d love to have ’em. Please send them to info [at] GMAuthority [dot] com with Photo Of The Day as the subject line. Hat tip to Liz.

Excellent Photo! I'm just glad Buick is still with us making its best cars ever. It's a shame Pontiac and Oldmobile couldn't still be along for the ride.
