General Motors has filed a trademark application to register the phrase Moving Humanity Forward with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), GM Authority has discovered.
Filed on November 2nd, 2017, the filing is assigned serial number 87668951 and states that the term will be used in conjunction with “Promoting public interest and awareness of universal mobility, connectivity and technology solutions.”
From the sound of it, it would appear that The General is looking to launch an awareness or marketing program of some kind to publicize “universal mobility, connectivity and technology solutions”. We’re not aware of what such a campaign would entail, but have a fleeting suspicion that it will be related to the automaker’s Maven car sharing/mobile service.
