You may have seen our February article on the 2017 Katech Track Attack – an annual, high performance driving event hosted by engine-maker Katech, which had been scheduled for July 22nd and the 23rd at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan.
Sadly, it appears the event has been canceled, and no make-up dates have yet been announced. The cancellation comes as an unwelcome surprise, although we would imagine the decision came about in response to a low projected turnout; visit the event’s Facebook page and you’ll see that only 14 users are listed as “Going,” with 106 “Interested” parties.
We’re guessing hoping that the tuning company will re-open registration for a later date, and that this cancellation will encourage potential attendees to register sooner rather than later. We’ll keep an ear out, and report back if we hear anything more about it.
It looks like I might get a little more time to wrap up my Saab story after all.
