European city-car enthusiasts, rejoice. Opel has officially priced its newest member of the quirky Opel Adam family, the 2015 Adam Rocks S at €19,900.
The 2015 Adam Rocks S combines the sporting personality of the Adam S, with the rugged persona of the Adam Rocks. To find that happy-medium, the chassis has been tuned for a dynamic performance feel, and the car has been lowered 15 millimeters when compared to the 2015 Adam Rocks. The optional SwingTop canvas roof, rear and side cladding and a rear spoiler further provide the best of what the 2015 Adam Rocks S serves up.
Powering the sporting-compact crossover is a familiar 1.4-liter turbocharged EcoTec engine, producing 150 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque, with the sprint from 0-62 mph taking 8.5-seconds. But, when the roads become a little more rough, the 2015 Opel Adam Rocks S has no problem being taken to its limits in suitable conditions. The ESP system may be switched off for soft-roading fun, but can just as easily handle winding roads, according to Opel.
Just like all new Opel models, Opel OnStar may be had with the 2015 Adam Rocks S, providing the greatest connectivity seen in an Opel yet.
Opel has stated order books are now open to reserve your very own rugged pocket rocket. Just don’t expect it in the U.S. anytime soon.
