If 2012 feels like a product break for Chevrolet, you’ll be excited to read that 2013 is going to be a pretty big deal.
“’13 is a big year for Chevrolet,” said Chevrolet communications leader Michael Albano during a press briefing at the Renaissance Center. “You know some of them. There’s a lot of chatter about others and a couple will be complete surprises, which we’re thrilled about.”
Indeed, we can list off the top of our heads a few new or revised Chevrolet products that are scheduled to launch next year, all of which are highly anticipated. The Chevrolet Silverado and Impala will be a pair of breadwinners for the car, while the all-new C7 Corvette is expected to bring the moniker to another level of content and performance. There’s also a refreshed Cruze, which will also debut a new diesel engine here in America, or the electric Chevrolet Spark, currently in development. Albano reportedly counts the refreshed Traverse as a one of the 13 models as well. Lest we forget, the SS Performance RWD Sport Sedan.
With such an ambitious rollout, we wouldn’t be surprised if a refreshed Equinox showed its face, or perhaps something that’s altogether different. Albano, after all, also hinted at “two surprises”.
There are plenty of product gaps in the U.S. Chevrolet portfolio (Cruze hatch, anyone?), so news like this is quite exciting. What surprises would you like to see the Bowtie launch? Sound off in the comment section below with your thoughts.

How about a true hybrid to compete w the camry fusion and accord! Obviously i would put that in the malibu
How about a frugal hybrid like a Prius c? $19K for 50+ mpg? Yes please.
Things id like to see in addition to the new models: Updated Malibu with better fuel economy, Cruze hatch, Cruze SS, Sonic SS, possibly an eAssist Equinox, and last but not least a Code 130R! That would be sweet. Off the top of my head I can count these that should be coming: Updated Cruze, Cruze Diesel, Impala, Tahoe, Suburban, Silverado, Corvette, SS, Spark EV.. thats all I can get. Possibilities that might be coming and others that GM will count as "new" are: Eco impala, Cruze Hatch (Please), Cruze SS (pretty please), Code130R... The new Colorado should arrive in less than 2 years and I think the Code130R is still a way off :/
Hands down, Chevrolet needs release the new Trailblazer in the US. GM will be shocked at what a huge hit it would be. It would fill one if the holes in the product line this article refers to
I agree. That Trailblazer could replace the Tahoe outright, and would perfectly compliment the Traverse as being the more rugged body-on-frame SUV to the Traverse's urban family functionality. Suburban would still be there for anybody who would need to go up another size.
Better City Fuel Economy across all products + a real Hybrid System!
I know we have discussed this here before, but we need to price cars to compete with Hyundai and Subuaru. The Subaru is very inexpensive and all wheel drive. I am in the midwest, outside of Omaha, and I can tell you how many more Subaru's there are in my parking lot (3) and how few Cruze's (0) and Malibu's (0) The Sonata is the same size as a Malibu, yet I can buy a Sonata all day for under $20k and an equally equipped Malibu is over $1,000 more. We need affordable all wheel drive midsize cars as well as better pricing for what we have.

I foregot about that, it could be in the cards.
My wish is still a Trailblazer with 2 doors but have a third door with access to the back. But the look would be of a 2 door. Have it be a pure 4 wheeler, I still have a 98 Blazer with 2 doors for when I go camping ect...
