Chevy Wins NTT Indycar Championship For Third Consecutive Year

For the third year in a row, Chevy was crowned the NTT IndyCar Series Manufacturer Champion, beating out its sole rival, Honda, in the North American open wheel racing division.

Chevy and Honda compete for the Manufacturer Championship every season, racking up points for the top-finishing cars throughout the season. Notably, Chevy race cars harness the Chevy Indy 2.2L V6 engine, which the manufacturer has raced to nine Manufacturer Championships since The Bow Tie brand returned to IndyCar for competition in the 2012 season.

Since its return to open wheel racing in 2012, Chevy has raked in 122 victories in 215 races, winning roughly 56.7 percent of all the events it has competed in. Notably, six of those victories have been in the Indy 500, the crown jewel of IndyCar racing.

Throughout the 2024 season, Chevy fielded race cars for drivers Will Power, Josef Newgarden and Scott McLaughlin of Team Penske; Rinus VeeKay, Christian Rasmussen and Ed Carpenter of Ed Carpenter Racing; Pato O’Ward, Alexander Rossi, Callum Illot, Theo Pourchaire and Nolan Siegel of Arrow McLaren; Santino Ferrucci and Sting Ray Robb of AJ Foyt Racing; and Romain Grosjean, Agustin Canapino, and Conor Daly of Juncos Hollinger Racing. Each racer with a Bow Tie on their race car contributed to Chevy’s success this year, solidifying its status as the most competitive manufacturer in the series.
