Anyone have any insight on the production of these? And if you have one ordered already as to when you should expect it?

My first ZR2 is scheduled to be built 3/7, it’s already spoken for but was one of the first 400 or so ZR2’s. My guess is that the earliest ones are built 2/21.

When did you get the allocation for that if you don’t mind me asking? And how long after did you get a production code? And how long do you think it’ll take from the production week to getting to the lot?

The allocation was received two weeks ago. Production code for it is currently 3000, although all orders have a production code. If it’s built in Mexico, the trucks usually arrive 2-3 weeks after production. I am the dealer, not the customer.

I ordered a 2022 Silverado LTZ. The order was placed mid-January, and allocation happened about a week and a half later. It is currently scheduled to be produced on the week of March 7.

I ordered a 22 Silverado High Country and order was placed on 1/15. I was told by my dealer and GM that it is scheduled to be produced the week of February 28th. As they say not holding my breath at this point.

Second week in a row that my dealer has said that there’s not ZR2 allocations out of the 23 Silverado allocations they were given. Does this sound right to any of you guys knowledgeable in this area?

Sounds correct to me. ZR2 allocations were limited to 217 this week, and those are being distributed to dealers based upon previous sales success of the 2LT Trailboss. I didn’t receive any this week either.

I placed an order for a 2022 Zr2 on 12-17-21. I was informed this week by me salesman that it was accepted by GM and is at a 2000 status. I should have a build date next week.

      Colegagliano,

Is it going to keep going that way? Is there a possibility my dealer won’t even get one? I’m in Virginia and it’s the highest selling Chevy dealer around.

        15WCStamp,

The report I have from GM states that the ZR2 will be limited to 5% of production for the 22 model year. I’d assume most dealers will at least get a few, so I’d stick it out for a while. There probably will be a few of these sitting on the ground available at some point, demand is strong but not Z06-strong.

This makes me think it’ll be a while before I get to order one. My dealer has me on a list to eventually order one but they said they are not otherwise taking orders. On the plus side, they did promise to honor GM Supplier Pricing if the ZR2 is eligible for it.

      Colegagliano,

I appreciate the info. I looked at other dealers. Found one that had a ZR2 accepted for production. They’re a few hours away and not the color I originally wanted but it’s black so not like it’s a bad color. I went ahead and called dibs on that so I don’t have to wait till the end of the year for the dealer near me to maybe get an allocation.

My salesman just texted me and said I have a target production week of 2/28. That’s sooner that I ever thought it would be.

Looking at these production dates, does that mean all of the ZR2s are going to be built at the Mexico plant and not Ft Wayne?
