I purchased a new ZR2 Colorado back in March with the promise that the microchips for the seat heater would be installed by the end of the summer. I have not heard anything from GM. Is there advise on who to contact to get the microchip for the seat heaters on this vehicle? The dealership just says that GM will contact me when they are ready.

Haha, you are funny thinking any promises GM gives you will hold water!!! Someday, maybe, possibly, perhaps, you might see the chip needed but until then carry a hot water bottle with you when it gets cold and when you sit on it think of it as sitting on Mary’s face. There are 10’s of thousands of us who have incomplete trucks and empty promises from GM to complete. They are now more interested in building 23’s than fulfilling their commitment to previously sold units, they already have their money from our trucks.

GM is just now starting to ship the retrofit kits. You should receive a letter in the mail when your parts are available

I also heard from my dealer that some retrofit parts are starting to become available. GM will contact the customer directly and ask them which dealer they want the parts shipped to. There is hope…

I received an update on my 2500HD today, stating that production started on 9/26. I was told that a VIN # was assigned but that it wouldn’t be communicated until after production is completed… “just in case something happens”. Once I have the VIN, does anybody know how I would find out if the truck was built complete or if it will be shipped with outstanding retrofits? Thanks
