Just read in AutoWeek how GM is and will attempt to stop clones of their new Z28 Camaro. If you don’t have the paperwork to show the parts counter that you own a genuine Z-28, “no ticky – no wash”. I just experienced something very parallel to this when I went in to the GM parts counter and wanted to buy some replacement injector loom tie downs for my 014 Vette. They asked for ownership proof and all but my SS for these 58 cent parts.
THANK YOU GM !!!!!!!!!!
It’s about time. Sick and tired of the unqualified wanna-bes and the rip off / clone / fake continuation / tribute junk that’s infused and causes confusion in the market.
Oh yes, it’s buyer be aware. But this is just another very good attempt to keep the product pure!!!!!!
So because I put an LT4 extreme duty timing chain and sprockets in my LT1 I’m a clone/criminal?
Step off.
Next you’re going to tell me RPO codes are being duplicated.
Well – looks like some rethinking on things with today’s update.
