Why hasn’t my 2022 Tahoe RST shipped? We ordered our 2022 Tahoe RST in February and it was built on 5/17/22 and is just sitting at the plant. GM and the dealership don’t have any idea when it will ship, but why is my dealership receiving and selling 2022 Tahoe RSTs that are identical to ours but have VIN#’s 20k after ours (I was able to get our VIN# from our dealership)? Is GM sending dealer orders before customer orders since they can sell them for more than our orders? It’s extremely frustrating. We are thinking about canceling it and going elsewhere. They have a carrier assigned to our Tahoe, but don’t have any way of knowing when it will ship? That doesn’t make any sense and sounds like an extremely inefficient way to run an operation.

Bob,
My RST was built on 5/23 and I am on the same boat as you. I have been tracking other Tahoes coming into local dealerships and asking build dates on the Chevrolet chat (using the vin numbers) to get an idea what is going on. There are Tahoes that were built beginning of June and are in transit already. I went through the inventory of “in transit” Tahoe and the only thing I could see different from my build is I chose a 2nd row bench seat. All the orders in transit have the 2nd row captain’s chair. I am starting to think that is the missing part to my build since it is not common.

There’s over 4,000 Arlington vehicles (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade) that are on a build-shy list….meaning they’re missing a component. Some of these may not release until September.

Whom did you speak to about your Tahoe and it’s status
I bought mine from my dealership April 26. I have my VIN and all my dealership is telling me is that it’s waiting for a carrier to transport it here
