Could someone please explain the need to delete the home remote and power rear sliding window just because a snow plow prep has been ordered by a dealer? I fail to see how a snow plow prep could possibly affect either one of those items and a need to delete them. Thanks!! Marshall

Hey Marshall,
Looking at the order guides, the Universal Home Remote (RPO code UG1) is indeed removed when the Snow Plow Prep Package (YVU) is ordered. The same is true for the Power Rear Sliding Window (A48).
Now, I’m not sure that this is the actual reason, but I believe that the removal has something to do with the wiring for those features interfering with and/or being used to control the plow.
I’ll reach out to GM for official comment, but something tells me I won’t get an answer.
Would be nice if they can build a truck that does it all.
Regarding the emails: have you looked in your spam folder for the notification/reply emails?

Hi again Alex. Thanks for input. I hope they answer. I can’t see how something for a back window would interfere with a plow which is all up front.
