Where to find Engine block and Head I.D.’s

      Hello I’m new to the V8-votec But not to GM.
      I’ve purchased a 2005 Tahoe with a displaced V8-vortec so the VIN.I.D. is of now help in trying to figure out Exactly what gen. motor is in it.
      What I do know is;
      (862) is cast into the front right side of the head.
      (C219) is cast into the block just forward of the head casting mark.
      (9908211438939864) is dimpled into the forward left side of the Head.

      Can someone toss me a bone on how to break down the above info?
