I was wondering when and how will dealers retrofit features such as the heated seats option?

I was told it will basically be treated like a recall, and they will send out postcard notices
I purchased a 2022 Silverado 1500 in February that requires chip retrofitting. At that time I was told retrofitting would occur by the end of quarter 2. I contacted the dealer today since I have not heard anything and was told retrofitting won’t start until quarter 4. They recommended I call GM Customer Care since GM sets the policies. I spoke with GM Customer Care and they said the same thing as the dealer. They basically said there is nothing they can do.
