A similar thread has been created, and is now very long with the question of, “has your order been accepted”. Now that we are having our trucks built, I’m curious to the status of your order. My Refreshed Silverado LT with the 2.7L Turbo has been built in Silao Mexico, and is currently in Code 4B00. Still awaiting a shipping date.
April 1, 2022 at 11:01 am #698500
I’m in the same boat. My LTZ (fully optioned) has been built and is bayed, awaiting shipment from Silao as well. Hopefully not too much longer.

April 1, 2022 at 1:15 pm #698546
It was set to be built the week of the 7th of March. However, it wasn’t completed for another week or so due to the bedliner. THe bedliner is sprayed away from the assembly line, after the truck is actually built. So, with that, and the quality assurance part of the build completed, the truck has been bayed since 3/22/22, awaiting transport.
April 1, 2022 at 4:37 pm #698625
Did dealer give you any idea what to expect? From what I’m reading most people are waiting well over a month to get vehicle delivered.

…………I’m waiting for my dealer to have allocations to order Silverado’s…. 😢😢😢😢
April 2, 2022 at 7:31 am #698659
Have you tried a different dealer?
April 7, 2022 at 1:25 pm #700415
Anyone with target production week of 4/4 have their trucks built yet? As of today I’m still at 3400 broadcast and it’s the end of the week.
April 7, 2022 at 4:07 pm #700428
Update: my truck which was built in Mexico the weekend of 3/7 and then sat in code 3800 up until last week, was then in Code 4B00. It has now shipped, and my dealer gave me an ETA of 4/24 (I feel that’s a little soon, but we will see)
April 13, 2022 at 11:11 am #701289
Sorry. Newbie question. Last update from my dealer said my order was at 3300. If I wanted to check the order through chat I need the order number. I have a print out the sales guy gave me when I ordered. Does that have the order number on it? If so where on the page is the number? TIA.
April 13, 2022 at 2:13 pm #701344
My order number is on the top page of the order sheet that was printed out, and given to me (the one the dealer filled out when they sent it in) its a 6 digit number
April 16, 2022 at 12:53 pm #701724
I just received an email. Update my truck is expected to be received May 17th!!!
Trucj ordered mid-Janiary, built March 7th.
April 18, 2022 at 7:56 am #701815
Correct. My truck was built the week of March 7th. I had a vin from the dealer by March 15th. Approximately one week later. I asked on the 15th, but it was probably available before that.
April 17, 2022 at 6:49 am #701750
Good morning everyone, I just received an update via VIN View that my trucks status has gone to 5000 as it was delivered to my dealer last night at 7:30. This is a refreshed Silverado High Country and was ordered back on 1/17. I wish everyone good luck, hang in there it will happen. One of the things for me that would have made this process better would have been for communications from GM, I think there’s a real void. The worst part for me was the time between when it was built and shipped (3/1 – 3/28) and all I heard was crickets. Good luck everyone!
April 17, 2022 at 6:57 am #701751
That’s awesome, JGW!!!
Mine is expected to arrive 5/17/22 and I’m very excited!
Quick question, though: How did you get access to VIN View?
April 17, 2022 at 8:20 am #701752
Congrats, JGW. And I agree, some communication fr9m GM would be nice. Or at least some truthful communication.
April 18, 2022 at 6:41 am #701812
Question…how long does it take for GM to actually build a Silverado once it hits production? If you have target production week should you have VIN by end of that week?
April 18, 2022 at 7:38 am #701814
About 20-30 hours I believe
April 18, 2022 at 10:58 am #701883
1nonlymre: My sales rep added my mobile into the system so I’d get texts.
April 18, 2022 at 12:18 pm #701901
JGW: thank you for that. I sent an email to my sales rep, since the last order he gave me showed a link to VinView. Hopefully, he can add my cell number to that part of the system for me to receive texts on any shipment updates.
April 18, 2022 at 12:49 pm #701905
Hey everyone, I want to give a similar update (success story) I ordered my Refreshed Silverado LT the mid January, and it was built the first week of march, after sitting at the plant for a few weeks, it was shipped with an ETA of 4/24…. Well, it was delivered to the dealership this past Saturday. Keep being patient, and stick it out. your trucks will be here before you know it

6.2 Trail Boss Order Placed 1/28
Was informed today it was built and received VIN target delivery to dealer of 5/18
May 1, 2022 at 9:14 pm #704031
1.5 months later, still waiting. I have an estimated delivery date of 5/17, but I expect that to change at this point. Via VinView at the dealership, it shows it is still at the Silao Distribution Center awaiting transport.
May 2, 2022 at 10:40 am #704090
I have a 6 digit order number, but Chevy website is saying the received the order but has not been accepted. Anyone know what this means and where I am in the build process? Thanks.
May 2, 2022 at 4:11 pm #704196
Ntasner it sounds to me like your dealer is waiting on the allocation before the order will be accepted. My dealer took about two weeks before the order was accepted by gm. Even after it’s accepted you got a long wait ahead. I ordered 2/25 and my truck was just produced last week.
May 2, 2022 at 12:53 pm #704135
Custom Trail Boss, std box, 5.3 V8, ordered on Feb.28. It’s now May 2 and still waiting to be accepted (Code 1100) and I notice that my Priority is 99 (least important). Sucks to be Canadian or is my dealer not going to bat for me?
May 14, 2022 at 12:06 pm #705948
Got an update – now showing tentative build date July 25. Thats 5 months from order placed, so I’m guessing it will be pushing 7 months before I take delivery. Not impressed. I just followed up with my dealer to see if they can do anything ??
May 15, 2022 at 5:43 pm #705982
Ordered Feb 5 a Chevrolet Silverado Rst still waiting for acceptance and a Tpw date
May 15, 2022 at 8:00 pm #705984
Kcangel, I would be talkin to your dealer. There are folks here getting accepted 5 weeks after placing order. I believe there was one that got accepted 2 weeks after placing order.
May 15, 2022 at 9:00 pm #705988
Sorry forgot to mention we are getting the redline pkg and a 6.2l both have been under constraints for awhile it seems
May 17, 2022 at 8:21 am #706194
I order my Trail Boss on 2/28 and truck was built week of 4/25, got VIN and it was coming from Sialo Plant. Was informed today that I am at event code 4200, anyone on here have any idea has to how long trains take to get to the East Coast?
May 17, 2022 at 8:51 am #706199
May 17, 2022 at 9:30 am #706202
Also someone in another thread mentioned 22 days from Mexico to dealership in western NY so the 20-30 days might hold true
May 18, 2022 at 3:53 pm #706505
Original estimated delivery date was 5/17/22. Obviously this came and went with no delivery. However, estimated delivery date updated to 6/8/22. The wait continues, but the dealer states some vehicles are coming in waaay before the estimated date, so here’s hoping I hear good news soon! 🙂
May 18, 2022 at 5:26 pm #706524
My truck is also coming from mexico and had a delivery date of 5/27 and now shows 6/8 delivery date. My dealer checked Vin view and it shows its in mexico at the port still but is at the same status it was 3 and a half weeks ago. Hopefully our trucks are on there way and just diddnt update and we both get them earlier than 6/8.
May 18, 2022 at 7:03 pm #706537
I originally had 5/18 arrival date. And it just shipped on 5/12 havent heard an ETA i would be thrilled if I received it 6/8 to NY. A week at the port…a week in the rail yard…and there goes that date
May 22, 2022 at 5:13 am #707051
My Silverado was built In Fort Wayne on may 2 but no arrival date. Anyone have any luck getting a truck from there to Ontario?
May 22, 2022 at 7:28 am #707053
Mine was built the week of April 25th and now shows at 4300, intermediate delivery. I am assuming it is on the train from Roanoke to Selkirk, NY. Hopefully in another week or so it will land there and my dealer can pick it up. This after trying to get a new truck for over 14 months. First no allocation in March of 21, then too many constraints on order from Dec. of 21 and finally an allocation on the 17th of March 2022.
May 25, 2022 at 5:24 am #707418
Has anyone seen or received their order for a refreshed Silverado that was actually made at the GM assembly plant in Oshawa
May 25, 2022 at 5:30 am #707419
I see they just started production of the 1500 on May 5th. Hopefully they are putting out numbers by now but haven’t heard of any from there yet. I know they had about 12000 HD’s on site waiting chips and transport. I would be curious if they actually ship any 1500’s out. Mine is coming from Ft. Wayne and was built four weeks ago and just now on the train to the east coast.
May 25, 2022 at 5:41 am #707421
Here is the update on my truck.
2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 – LTZ (Refreshed)
Ordered January 15
Order accepted late January (don’t remember exact date)
Truck assembled in Silao, Mexico on the week of March 7.
Remained in their distribution center for quite a while (almost 3 months)
Original expected date, according to VinView was 5/17/22. This was then updated to 6/8/22.
The truck FINALLY started to move either today or yesterday. It was passing San Francisco, Mexico (San Pancho) in Yucatan yesterday.
Expected to arrive in Mira Loma, California (very close to the dealership) on or before 6/1/22.
Checking in with the dealership, I am given a 6/14 delivery date.
Truck is currently at event code 4200.
Either way, it appears June is MY truck month!
Let the excitement begin!!!!
May 26, 2022 at 5:30 am #707576
Quick update, mine was built in Ft. Wayne the week of April 25th. As of today May 26th it is said to be on the train from Roanoke to Selkirk, NY. Hopefully after well over 14 months trying to get one ordered, allocated, and built there is some light at the end of the tunnel and not just the light on the train coming at me.
May 28, 2022 at 1:54 pm #707971
22 LTZ Refresh 6.2L
Ordered March 6th
Built Last Week of April
Scheduled Delivery: 5/19
Actual Delivery: Within the last 2 days
Went and checked it out at the dealership today. I’ll pick it up on Tuesday after doing all the paperwork. I don’t know if I’ll sleep between now and then honestly.
May 28, 2022 at 2:34 pm #707973
Nice! I’m also getting a 62 LTZ. What are the details on your build, if you don’t mind me asking?
May 28, 2022 at 2:44 pm #707974
Crew Cab Z71
Dark Essential Package
Under Seat Storage
Basically, fully loaded all the bells and whistles you could get on it.
Retro Fit of Blower Motors for front seats, Front and Rear Park Assist.
I’ll get an electric cover for the back at a later date most likely.
May 28, 2022 at 2:48 pm #707975
Wow, very close to mine:
Crew Cab Z71
Black Logo – front and back only
Under Seat Storage
Motorized underboards – retracting w/doors opening and closing
LTZ Premium; Technology Package
May 28, 2022 at 3:06 pm #707976
I forgot about the Tail Gate, I also got that. My F&R emblems are black, The Silverado and LTZ lettering on the Tailgate and the 6.2L on the hood are as well. The Z71 emblem is Chrome still but, it really looks fantastic how it is now. Basically, we have the same truck except you have the motorized running boards. The Exhaust sounds great as well.
May 28, 2022 at 3:59 pm #707977
Yup, basically the same. So I know YOU got yourself a beautiful looking truck! Congratulations. I hope to have mine in the next 2 – 3 weeks. It’s FINALLY en route to California from Silao, Mexico by train as of this week. So, for me June is indeed TRUCK MONTH!!!
May 29, 2022 at 6:54 pm #708054
22 Denali 1500
Pacific Northwest Blue
Reserved in October
Ordered Dec 16th
Built May 20th
Currently awaiting shipment
Got my VIN and printout of all the options included during the build. Was surprised to see that I got all the options that I ordered with no pending retrofits. That’s a relief. I’ve been following all the threads concerning these orders so I know I still have a bit of a wait before delivery. Dealer says he can’t enter my phone number into VinView so I have to get my updates from the dealer.
May 29, 2022 at 7:02 pm #708055
Hopefully they will load it onto a rail car soon in Silao, Mexico headed to Portland, OR. Hope you get your truck sooner than later 1nonlymre.
May 29, 2022 at 7:46 pm #708056
Thank you! Knowing it’s finally moved beyond the Distribution Center, I can finally count the days. Chevy.com and my dealer currently say the delivery date is set for June 14. I think this day may stick, if not sooner. Since my birthday is the 25th of June, I’ll just consider the truck an early birthday present.
May 30, 2022 at 9:19 am #708088
zbilly, have you heard any new updates on your truck? I’m waiting on mine to be shipped to Portland, OR.
May 30, 2022 at 10:32 am #708103
A friend of mine from the other GM forum site who lives in Oregon got his truck last week. Both of ours were made April 4th and got ot Portland by boat on May 7th.
Mine is still down there, which is only 200 miles away, and he got his. So it’s just a crap shoot and just waiting for something to happen.
ETA from GM.com is 06/08/2022.
But sitting there for 3 weeks now is very frustrating.
May 30, 2022 at 9:29 am #708090
My truck shipped from mexico on a boat on 5/24 and arrived at the port in Rhode Island yesterday 5/29 and has an eta of 6/8
May 30, 2022 at 9:55 am #708092
Yay!! Sounds like it’s getting close. Enjoy!
May 31, 2022 at 6:22 pm #708332
Picked up the truck today. I’ll mess with the tech stuff this weekend when I have a chance to go through everything.
Some people were stating they have crackling in the speakers when they turn the volume up, mine works perfectly fine. Don’t know if that problem was on early units built in MX or what.
For what little I’ve drove it, it rides good, the seats are surprisingly comfortable for a truck and the screens are really nice. Cameras are very clear. It does have that luxury feel at least to me, but this is my first truck in 14 years.
It looks like there are a bunch of different things and settings with the new screen, which I can’t wait to dive into this weekend.
So far, I really like the truck!
June 1, 2022 at 8:21 am #708416
How do I check the status of a custom order for a 2022 refreshed trail boss with a 3.0 duramax diesel. I have a tracking order number from the dealership.
June 1, 2022 at 8:32 am #708431
if the tracking order number is something like six characters, simply go to chevy.com or chevrolet.com, wait for the chat popup to appear on the lower right of the screen. Click that bubble to initiate a chat session. Start the chat by typing ‘hi’, then wait to be prompted again. Next type ‘order status’; you will be asked to provide an order number or VIN. Type your order number and continue with the chat. You will receive a status. If you want to try to get more info, stay on the same chat and type ‘advisor’. You will be forwarded with a person who may be able to give more information pertaining to your order. Good luck! 🙂
June 1, 2022 at 10:23 am #708448
Order status: My truck has come across the border from Mexico and is in Southern California, just passing Niland, California, en route to Mira Loma, California by train. I expect it to arrive in Mira Loma today. From there, it would need to be put on a transporting truck and make its way to the dealership in San Diego. All in all, the anticipated delivery date is 6/14, but it may be ready for me to pick up sooner than that. I’m thinking maybe one more week??? Fingers crossed, but at least I know it is VERY much on the way to the dealership and should arrive very soon.
June 1, 2022 at 11:44 am #708483
Thanks for the additional info navigating the online chats. I didn’t realize I could type in “advisor” to get a live person. They updated the status of my Denali letting me know that it has left the factory and is now being loaded onto a ship on Mexico’s west coast. They also set me up for weekly status updates via email. I hope this GM notification system works because I’m getting tired of having to contact my dealer all the time trying to get updates. 1nonlymre, I would think your truck should be in Mira Loma by now. It’s getting close.
June 1, 2022 at 12:41 pm #708498
Don’t take what the advisors tell you as gospel because I get told something different almost everytime I go on. One time the truck was headed to production, the next already built, next headed to production, then somewhere offsite, then shipper has it, then back to awaiting shipper. Last week it was on a train almost to its unloading destination within 120 miles but today no sign of it!!! Frustrating as all hell especially since this is the third truck I have tried to get over the past 15 months. Last March an order never got allocated, December another order never go allocation, then March 17th this year I got an allocation. Originally scheduled to be built week of April 11th but two week shut down at Ft. Wayne pushed that to week of April 25th. And now I wait. Bottom line is they will tell you anything to get rid of you and move on. The truck better be worth it if I ever get it.
June 1, 2022 at 12:05 pm #708494
I didn’t see your 2nd post today before I posted mine 1nonlymre. Good luck.
June 2, 2022 at 11:45 am #708650
Hello…What is the website or link that i can find the build information. I have an order number and build date but would like to track the process from there to delivery.

June 2, 2022 at 1:30 pm #708663
My 2022 Refresh LT TB has been sitting at Siloes Mexico for the last 2 weeks with code 4120 anyone know what that code is?
also a friend of a friend said his Dodge that also is built in Siloes is being held up due to a shipping strike?
has anyone heard anything on this?
June 2, 2022 at 3:07 pm #708665
I know of a 4104 and 4106 but then it goes to 4150. Honestly couldn’t tell you about a 4120. Now 4150 is vehicle invoiced.
June 2, 2022 at 4:46 pm #708682
I ordered a 2022 trail boss with 6.2L and premium package. The order was done just before Thanksgiving of 2021 and I’m still waiting for Chevy to take the order. Very frustrated and not sure what I’m going to do at this point. The dealership has not been able to give any new info other than to say I might have to do a reorder for 2023
June 4, 2022 at 5:12 pm #708916
Your Dealer is responsible for using their allocation allowance to secure you a vehicle. If there is something wonky about the options you requested, they are supposed to feed that info back to you and suggest alternatives. Example, brake controller would hold up order, are you okay if we order without and we will install here at delivery. If they are not willing or dont have an allocation allowance for you, find another Dealer.
June 3, 2022 at 7:34 am #708727
I have a 2022 GMC Sierra Denali 6.2L on order and its currently in status 4300. I reached out to a customer care rep and he told me that my truck is at a distribution center in New Haven, MI. Does anyone know if the trucks can be picked up from the distribution center by the dealer. Im from metro detroit area so if this is a possibility I would hope my dealer would do this instead of having me wait 8-12 weeks to be shipped less than 50 miles.
June 4, 2022 at 5:23 am #708890
New delivery date! Originally, scheduled to be delivered on the 14th, yesterday I spoke with my sales rep at the dealership and he informed me the truck is expected to arrive around the 8th. So…likely next week!!!!
June 4, 2022 at 1:23 pm #708901
I Know you’re excited 1nonlymre. Hoping to be in your shoes in the very near future. I’m just glad that my truck’s already been built because I read today that the 6.2L V8 L87 engines are unavailable for production til at least July 18th. Hope your new ride is everything you hoped for.
June 4, 2022 at 1:47 pm #708902
Does anybody know if the 3.0 diesel is on hold in the 2022 refreshed trail boss.
June 4, 2022 at 2:58 pm #708904
The 3.0 Duramax is also listed as unavailable for order in the Trail Boss and High Country according to GM Authority.
June 4, 2022 at 3:23 pm #708905
Where did you see that at, I read it was unavailable in the custom trial boss.
June 4, 2022 at 4:50 pm #708914
You’re right, it does say Custom Trail Boss.
June 5, 2022 at 2:57 am #708922
They told me when I ordered the truck before thanksgiving it would be 5 to 6 months. My order has changed multiple times wether it be the color of the truck, mud flaps etc. Now they’re are telling me that the 6.2L may not be available. I just found out that GM has accepted my or but there’s no build date. At this point I call GM because they Dealership has control over nothing and GM dictates the terms. I’m well beyond a reasonable time frame and still at a starting point and GM is trying to normalize this situation. I’m working my way through GM customer service and if I don’t get any concrete information on my truck or if they pull the 6.2L on me I’m out and I’ll never go back!
June 5, 2022 at 8:35 am #708927
How do you tell using the vin where your sierra is built?

June 6, 2022 at 11:04 am #709008
Awesome UPDATE!!! My truck arrived at the dealership this morning!!! Assuming I can get logistics done, I can be at the dealership on Wednesday and picking my new ‘Blues Clues 2’ baby up then!!!! 🙂
June 6, 2022 at 3:43 pm #709117
Congrats 1nonlymre. So glad to hear it quickly got from the railhead to your dealership. Gives the rest of us hope. Enjoy!
June 6, 2022 at 5:32 pm #709154
Thank you, blue56bird! Yes, once the truck began to move from the distribution center, on or about 5/29, it didn’t take long for it to get to destination. Distribution Center was in Silao, Mexico. So, it took about a week for it find its way to the railyard then to the dealer. Pre-approval is set, and I and my wife are headed up there first thing Wednesday morning to pick it up. CAN’T WAIT!!!!

Picked up my Refreshed LTZ
Northsky Blue Metallic
Premium LTZ; Technology Package
Power Step; bed liner
Basically, the works!
Received yesterday (June 8th) and loving every moment of it.
It is my first NEW truck ever (I’m 49 this month) and I am FINALLY the owner of a new truck!
And, oh, what a new truck she is!!!
Props to Bob Stall – La Mesa. No upcharge, no shenanigans! Only MSRP and they honored the first responder discount.
June 9, 2022 at 4:57 pm #709790
Congrats 1nonlymre! Glad to hear you received your truck. My original eta for my trailboss was 5/27 then got pushed back to 6/8 and now 6/13. Hopefully Monday will finally be the day it actually gets delivered and no more delays. Right now its sitting at the distribution center waiting to be loaded on a truck and then delivered to my dealership.

Congratulations, 1nonlymre!! N8ce to hear some good news on here. Enjoy!

My Silverado Trail Boss is on the train from Mexico and heading to my dealership in Buffalo. Anyone have any ideas on how long this takes?

My timeline: 2022 refresh Silverado Trailboss 6.2L
-Jan 19 ordered
-May 30 produced
-Currently still sitting in Mexico with no ship date available…
It’s been produced for 6 1/2 weeks now and no idea when I’m going to get it. Getting very frustrated.

For those waiting… Mine was built in Mexico mid April. Delivered mid June. Sat in Mexico about 5 weeks. I am in Upstate NY so it went by train to the Gulf. By ship to a port in Rode Island. By train again to a distribution center. By truck to the dealership. When the dealer checked the status it showed delayed in the port. Later that day the dealer called and told me I would never guess what just showed up… The truck. No clue it was coming. So, when you get the information from the dealer be aware that information may not be real time. The system obviously has flaws. Hang in there. I waited 6 1/2 months from initial order. I know some have been waiting longer. It is coming. I think it was worth the wait. So far, very impressed with my LT 1500 crew Duramax.

Anyone that has been waiting on shipment from Mexico hearing any good news? Same 4200 status since June 9th.

I just finished chatting with GM and they are telling me that my truck is now at a distribution center in Viborillas, QA with no ETA. Anyone had the same experience?

Is there a way to tell where my truck was built without a VIN?
I tried asking chat and they deferred me to the dealer like always so I did and they said they don’t have a VIN yet until it’s invoiced to them. Chat couldn’t, or wouldn’t, give me the VIN. I do at least have the last 8 of the VIN.
Currently at 3800 with no ETA.
2022 Silverado 1500 LTZ with 3.0. Order placed 6/14/22, order accepted by GM late June and built last week (8/1).

Forget about chevy chat or chevy emails being of any use whatsoever. While waiting for my truck I got so many conflicting stories from them it became humorous. One of the best ones was when they told me my truck was built in Flint, MI. Knowing only HD’s are built there and mine is a 1500 I knew then and there they were full of BS. Then the icing on the cake was after I took delivery of truck on the 14th of June, I continued to get their canned emails for no less than 6 weeks more, every Tuesday. Same canned message, “your truck has been built and is awaiting transportation, we have no further information, and your dealer is your best source going forward”

Once vehicle ships your dealer can track it via vin view along the way as it moves. Until then it is just sitting waiting. By your vin it was built in the US, was it Ft Wayne or Flint?

used up auto worker,
I had read an article somewhere that trucks coming out of Mexico (maybe Canada too?) where having issues getting through the border by train/truck and that they were supposedly putting them on ships now.
I’m guess it has something to do with customs but maybe also the possible rail strike.

It was Fort Wayne
Thanks for your reply

I ordered a’23 Trail Boss on 08/29/22. Watched for “In Transit” models close to what I ordered. Found one here in IN. Canceled my August order. Placed a deposit ( 09/19/22) on the Transit model. Of course it has a built and VIN #.Sales person showed my the route the truck has taken. Built in Mexico (Silo Plant). Shipped to St. Louis, then to Chicago, then to Ft. Wayne IN.. Probably shipped to Kokomo IN for finishing parts. Who knows. At least I have one built. The GM Authority said a few wks ago that only 12% of the proposed ’23 Trail Bosses would be built. That put the motion to do this. Good Luck to all out there.

I ordered my High Country early May. It’s been at the “Congrats it’s been built” stage since first of Aug.As of the posting of this message, it hasn’t changed. Looks like I’ve missed out on the $1000 bonus for this month. Thanks Chevy.
I guess I’ll just keep on waiting. [Sigh]

Hey BigBad. Same here.
September 27, 2022 at 5:48 am #726406
I ordered mine in January, was built in May and still sitting in Mexico waiting for microchips! However, I actually found one “in transit” that was almost identical to the one I ordered (minus the running boards). So I cancelled my order, and flew to Missouri (from Colorado) to buy it and drove it home. So I finally got mine but it wasn’t the one I ordered. Hope you guys get yours soon!

I took over a previous stock order due to be built on August 1 and shipped Aug 31 from Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, Idaho. I gave them a $1000.00 deposit. They sent me the Build Sheet with the order number, build date, and VIN.
It was built on 08/04/2022 and assigned a VIN of 1GCUDGET3NZ597049.
The order number was BNRHMC at Build Plant Z. Flint Michigan.
It was, in theory, shipped the first week of August. I have yet to receive any indication of when it will arrive and wish to find out.

Ordered my 1500 LTZ in April, it was built in May and sitting at a distribution center in Mexico since. My salesman told me about 2 1/2 weeks ago that my truck was finally showing in Vinview as pending dispatch but nothing since.

Five months in and STILL no truck. But I get a “Congratulations it’s just waiting on shipping”. I actually emailed the GM CEO because why not? I got a reply from the Executive Referral Team, “I am reaching out to advise that your vehicle order has been escalated to our Logistics Team for additional consideration”. I think that’s just a dummy email to make you feel like you’re special, now close the door on your way out.
I’m getting frustrated. No wonder why I see Ram trucks are selling more, Because Chevy’s not sending theirs out.

Your absolutely right..
Misty is very nice but unable to do a thing in the process.
Your best results would be with the Dealer Rep.
They have way more pull.
I’m going on a year tring to get a truck from GM..!!
the only way i could get some leverage was with a regional Rep.
So ask your dealer for there email.
October 2, 2022 at 9:08 pm #727205
Do you mind explaining what “leverage” you were able to gain by speaking to your Regional Rep? I’m coming up on 6 months myself and like many before me, am so completely done with the wishing and hoping game. Thanks!
October 3, 2022 at 6:47 am #727233
Just ssying they ..the reps can get some level of results the dealers can’t.
October 4, 2022 at 8:52 pm #727576
Well, I attempted to speak to, or at least find out whom my rep would be and was told that “reps are not customer facing” and that they could not provide contact info. So thanks for the help/suggestion.

So I talked with the General Manager at the Chevy Dealership, telling him the journey so far. He sent an email to the Dealer Rep. I’ve not heard back yet, but expect at the very least a reply. I did get an actual build date of July 25.
In other news, my current Silverado was stolen overnight. So, c’mon GM. This has gone from a WANT to a NEED. I get 30 days with a rental before I’m out of pocket.
October 7, 2022 at 3:28 am #727966
Same with me I talked to the General manager at Chevy Dealership, telling him the journey but he did not sent me an e-mail yet. Though I do get a build date of Oct 20

I have officially cancelled my order, and put a deposit on a one that’s in transit, scheduled to be here in a few days. I’ll be able to take advantage of “Truck Season” and get some add ons. The one in transit checks off most of my boxes.

So according to my contact on the EXEC REFERRAL TEAM all these truck was /is missing DOOR SWITCHES. She stated that the parts are now in the hands of the plants and waiting to get installed. Per her last email “I do know that there is a plan for GM to have the 2022 vehicles delivered before the end of the year. The transport companies become the unknown factor as we rely on them to get the vehicles out and delivered which could have a few delays. I do not like committing a date to anyone in this age of the industry as you know can have hang ups we can not foresee due to the outside carriers.” I hope this plays out right.
