A similar thread has been created, and is now very long with the question of, “has your order been accepted”. Now that we are having our trucks built, I’m curious to the status of your order. My Refreshed Silverado LT with the 2.7L Turbo has been built in Silao Mexico, and is currently in Code 4B00. Still awaiting a shipping date.

I’m in the same boat. My LTZ (fully optioned) has been built and is bayed, awaiting shipment from Silao as well. Hopefully not too much longer.

How long has it been bayed? I ordered a LTZ on 2/25 and it’s TPW is next week. I’m assuming it will be Mexico plant since ft Wayne is shut down.

It was set to be built the week of the 7th of March. However, it wasn’t completed for another week or so due to the bedliner. THe bedliner is sprayed away from the assembly line, after the truck is actually built. So, with that, and the quality assurance part of the build completed, the truck has been bayed since 3/22/22, awaiting transport.

Did dealer give you any idea what to expect? From what I’m reading most people are waiting well over a month to get vehicle delivered.

I would definitely try a different dealer. Even mine told me his allocations have increased over the past couple of weeks. If a dealer doesn’t have allocations for Silverado’s then something is wrong.

Update: my truck which was built in Mexico the weekend of 3/7 and then sat in code 3800 up until last week, was then in Code 4B00. It has now shipped, and my dealer gave me an ETA of 4/24 (I feel that’s a little soon, but we will see)

Sorry. Newbie question. Last update from my dealer said my order was at 3300. If I wanted to check the order through chat I need the order number. I have a print out the sales guy gave me when I ordered. Does that have the order number on it? If so where on the page is the number? TIA.

Correct. My truck was built the week of March 7th. I had a vin from the dealer by March 15th. Approximately one week later. I asked on the 15th, but it was probably available before that.

Good morning everyone, I just received an update via VIN View that my trucks status has gone to 5000 as it was delivered to my dealer last night at 7:30. This is a refreshed Silverado High Country and was ordered back on 1/17. I wish everyone good luck, hang in there it will happen. One of the things for me that would have made this process better would have been for communications from GM, I think there’s a real void. The worst part for me was the time between when it was built and shipped (3/1 – 3/28) and all I heard was crickets. Good luck everyone!

Well, it was delivered to the dealership this past Saturday. Keep being patient, and stick it out. your trucks will be here before you know it

Ntasner it sounds to me like your dealer is waiting on the allocation before the order will be accepted. My dealer took about two weeks before the order was accepted by gm. Even after it’s accepted you got a long wait ahead. I ordered 2/25 and my truck was just produced last week.

Mine was built the week of April 25th and now shows at 4300, intermediate delivery. I am assuming it is on the train from Roanoke to Selkirk, NY. Hopefully in another week or so it will land there and my dealer can pick it up. This after trying to get a new truck for over 14 months. First no allocation in March of 21, then too many constraints on order from Dec. of 21 and finally an allocation on the 17th of March 2022.

I see they just started production of the 1500 on May 5th. Hopefully they are putting out numbers by now but haven’t heard of any from there yet. I know they had about 12000 HD’s on site waiting chips and transport. I would be curious if they actually ship any 1500’s out. Mine is coming from Ft. 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 – LTZ (Refreshed)
      Ordered January 15
Order accepted late January (don’t remember exact date)
Truck assembled in Silao, Mexico on the week of March 7.
Remained in their distribution center for quite a while (almost 3 months)
Original expected date, according to VinView was 5/17/22. This was then updated to 6/8/22.
The truck FINALLY started to move either today or yesterday. It was passing San Francisco, Mexico (San Pancho) in Yucatan yesterday.
Expected to arrive in Mira Loma, California (very close to the dealership) on or before 6/1/22.
Checking in with the dealership, I am given a 6/14 delivery date.
Truck is currently at event code 4200.
Either way, it appears June is MY truck month!
      Let the excitement begin!!!!

Picked up the truck today. I’ll mess with the tech stuff this weekend when I have a chance to go through everything.

Some people were stating they have crackling in the speakers when they turn the volume up, mine works perfectly fine. Don’t know if that problem was on early units built in MX or what.

For what little I’ve drove it, it rides good, the seats are surprisingly comfortable for a truck and the screens are really nice. Cameras are very clear. It does have that luxury feel at least to me, but this is my first truck in 14 years.

It looks like there are a bunch of different things and settings with the new screen, which I can’t wait to dive into this weekend.

So far, I really like the truck!

if the tracking order number is something like six characters, simply go to chevy.com or chevrolet.com, wait for the chat popup to appear on the lower right of the screen. Click that bubble to initiate a chat session. Start the chat by typing ‘hi’, then wait to be prompted again. Next type ‘order status’; you will be asked to provide an order number or VIN. Type your order number and continue with the chat. You will receive a status. If you want to try to get more info, stay on the same chat and type ‘advisor’. You will be forwarded with a person who may be able to give more information pertaining to your order. Good luck! 🙂

Order status: My truck has come across the border from Mexico and is in Southern California, just passing Niland, California, en route to Mira Loma, California by train. I expect it to arrive in Mira Loma today. From there, it would need to be put on a transporting truck and make its way to the dealership in San Diego. All in all, the anticipated delivery date is 6/14, but it may be ready for me to pick up sooner than that. I’m thinking maybe one more week??? Fingers crossed, but at least I know it is VERY much on the way to the dealership and should arrive very soon.

Thanks for the additional info navigating the online chats. I didn’t realize I could type in “advisor” to get a live person. They updated the status of my Denali letting me know that it has left the factory and is now being loaded onto a ship on Mexico’s west coast. They also set me up for weekly status updates via email. I hope this GM notification system works because I’m getting tired of having to contact my dealer all the time trying to get updates. 1nonlymre, I would think your truck should be in Mira Loma by now. It’s getting close.

Don’t take what the advisors tell you as gospel because I get told something different almost everytime I go on. One time the truck was headed to production, the next already built, next headed to production, then somewhere offsite, then shipper has it, then back to awaiting shipper. Last week it was on a train almost to its unloading destination within 120 miles but today no sign of it!!! Frustrating as all hell especially since this is the third truck I have tried to get over the past 15 months. Last March an order never got allocated, December another order never go allocation, then March 17th this year I got an allocation. Originally scheduled to be built week of April 11th but two week shut down at Ft. Wayne pushed that to week of April 25th. And now I wait. Bottom line is they will tell you anything to get rid of you and move on. The truck better be worth it if I ever get it.

My 2022 Refresh LT TB has been sitting at Siloes Mexico for the last 2 weeks with code 4120 anyone know what that code is?
also a friend of a friend said his Dodge that also is built in Siloes is being held up due to a shipping strike?
has anyone heard anything on this?
      Thanks.

I know of a 4104 and 4106 but then it goes to 4150. Honestly couldn’t tell you about a 4120. Now 4150 is vehicle invoiced.

I ordered a 2022 trail boss with 6.2L and premium package. The order was done just before Thanksgiving of 2021 and I’m still waiting for Chevy to take the order. Very frustrated and not sure what I’m going to do at this point. The dealership has not been able to give any new info other than to say I might have to do a reorder for 2023

Your Dealer is responsible for using their allocation allowance to secure you a vehicle. If there is something wonky about the options you requested, they are supposed to feed that info back to you and suggest alternatives. Example, brake controller would hold up order, are you okay if we order without and we will install here at delivery. If they are not willing or dont have an allocation allowance for you, find another Dealer.

I have a 2022 GMC Sierra Denali 6.2L on order and its currently in status 4300. I reached out to a customer care rep and he told me that my truck is at a distribution center in New Haven, MI. Does anyone know if the trucks can be picked up from the distribution center by the dealer. Im from metro detroit area so if this is a possibility I would hope my dealer would do this instead of having me wait 8-12 weeks to be shipped less than 50 miles.

New delivery date! Originally, scheduled to be delivered on the 14th, yesterday I spoke with my sales rep at the dealership and he informed me the truck is expected to arrive around the 8th. So…likely next week!!!!

They told me when I ordered the truck before thanksgiving it would be 5 to 6 months. My order has changed multiple times wether it be the color of the truck, mud flaps etc. Now they’re are telling me that the 6.2L may not be available. I just found out that GM has accepted my or but there’s no build date. At this point I call GM because they Dealership has control over nothing and GM dictates the terms. I’m well beyond a reasonable time frame and still at a starting point and GM is trying to normalize this situation. I’m working my way through GM customer service and if I don’t get any concrete information on my truck or if they pull the 6.2L on me I’m out and I’ll never go back!

Thank you, blue56bird! Yes, once the truck began to move from the distribution center, on or about 5/29, it didn’t take long for it to get to destination. Distribution Center was in Silao, Mexico. So, it took about a week for it find its way to the railyard then to the dealer. Pre-approval is set, and I and my wife are headed up there first thing Wednesday morning to pick it up. CAN’T WAIT!!!!

My timeline: 2022 refresh Silverado Trailboss 6.2L
      -Jan 19 ordered
      -May 30 produced
-Currently still sitting in Mexico with no ship date available…

It’s been produced for 6 1/2 weeks now and no idea when I’m going to get it. Getting very frustrated.

For those waiting… Mine was built in Mexico mid April. Delivered mid June. Sat in Mexico about 5 weeks. I am in Upstate NY so it went by train to the Gulf. By ship to a port in Rode Island. By train again to a distribution center. By truck to the dealership. When the dealer checked the status it showed delayed in the port. Later that day the dealer called and told me I would never guess what just showed up… The truck. No clue it was coming. So, when you get the information from the dealer be aware that information may not be real time. The system obviously has flaws. Hang in there. I waited 6 1/2 months from initial order. I know some have been waiting longer. It is coming. I think it was worth the wait. So far, very impressed with my LT 1500 crew Duramax.

Is there a way to tell where my truck was built without a VIN?

I tried asking chat and they deferred me to the dealer like always so I did and they said they don’t have a VIN yet until it’s invoiced to them. Chat couldn’t, or wouldn’t, give me the VIN. I do at least have the last 8 of the VIN.

Currently at 3800 with no ETA.

Forget about chevy chat or chevy emails being of any use whatsoever. While waiting for my truck I got so many conflicting stories from them it became humorous. One of the best ones was when they told me my truck was built in Flint, MI. Knowing only HD’s are built there and mine is a 1500 I knew then and there they were full of BS. Then the icing on the cake was after I took delivery of truck on the 14th of June, I continued to get their canned emails for no less than 6 weeks more, every Tuesday. Same canned message, “your truck has been built and is awaiting transportation, we have no further information, and your dealer is your best source going forward”

Once vehicle ships your dealer can track it via vin view along the way as it moves. Until then it is just sitting waiting. By your vin it was built in the US, was it Ft Wayne or Flint?

      used up auto worker,

I had read an article somewhere that trucks coming out of Mexico (maybe Canada too?) where having issues getting through the border by train/truck and that they were supposedly putting them on ships now.

I’m guess it has something to do with customs but maybe also the possible rail strike.

I ordered a’23 Trail Boss on 08/29/22. Watched for “In Transit” models close to what I ordered. Found one here in IN. Canceled my August order. Placed a deposit ( 09/19/22) on the Transit model. Of course it has a built and VIN #.Sales person showed my the route the truck has taken. Built in Mexico (Silo Plant). Shipped to St. Louis, then to Chicago, then to Ft. Wayne IN.. Probably shipped to Kokomo IN for finishing parts. Who knows. At least I have one built. The GM Authority said a few wks ago that only 12% of the proposed ’23 Trail Bosses would be built. That put the motion to do this. Good Luck to all out there.

However, I actually found one “in transit” that was almost identical to the one I ordered (minus the running boards). So I cancelled my order, and flew to Missouri (from Colorado) to buy it and drove it home. So I finally got mine but it wasn’t the one I ordered. Hope you guys get yours soon!

I took over a previous stock order due to be built on August 1 and shipped Aug 31 from Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, Idaho. I gave them a $1000.00 deposit. They sent me the Build Sheet with the order number, build date, and VIN.

It was built on 08/04/2022 and assigned a VIN of 1GCUDGET3NZ597049.
The order number was BNRHMC at Build Plant Z. Flint Michigan.
It was, in theory, shipped the first week of August. I have yet to receive any indication of when it will arrive and wish to find out.

Five months in and STILL no truck. But I get a “Congratulations it’s just waiting on shipping”. I actually emailed the GM CEO because why not? I got a reply from the Executive Referral Team, “I am reaching out to advise that your vehicle order has been escalated to our Logistics Team for additional consideration”. I think that’s just a dummy email to make you feel like you’re special, now close the door on your way out.

I’m getting frustrated. No wonder why I see Ram trucks are selling more, Because Chevy’s not sending theirs out.

      Your absolutely right..
Misty is very nice but unable to do a thing in the process.
Your best results would be with the Dealer Rep.
      They have way more pull.
I’m going on a year tring to get a truck from GM..!!
the only way i could get some leverage was with a regional Rep.
So ask your dealer for there email.

So I talked with the General Manager at the Chevy Dealership, telling him the journey so far. He sent an email to the Dealer Rep. I’ve not heard back yet, but expect at the very least a reply. I did get an actual build date of July 25.

In other news, my current Silverado was stolen overnight. So, c’mon GM. This has gone from a WANT to a NEED. I get 30 days with a rental before I’m out of pocket.

So according to my contact on the EXEC REFERRAL TEAM all these truck was /is missing DOOR SWITCHES. She stated that the parts are now in the hands of the plants and waiting to get installed. Per her last email “I do know that there is a plan for GM to have the 2022 vehicles delivered before the end of the year. The transport companies become the unknown factor as we rely on them to get the vehicles out and delivered which could have a few delays. I do not like committing a date to anyone in this age of the industry as you know can have hang ups we can not foresee due to the outside carriers.” I hope this plays out right.
