2022 Silverado 2500HD order to delivery timeframe

When was order placed?
Best guess I have seen is 30-60 days from being built to delivery, if delivery date doesn’t get revised and transportation goes well.

I have a 2022 3500HD I ordered in March of 2021 it was a complete build November 10th 2021 and has been stuck in transit at the Flint Truck and Bus Plant 20 miles from my dealer. It is now 5 months since it was built that I am waiting. It has also been over a year since I ordered it. Just need to wait is all they keep telling me.

Yeah Chedder , that sucks to have your truck stuck in limbo for so long. I wonder what percentage of new orders are suffering your fate?
Oilcan may be doing better than average but who knows what delays he may run into yet?
It appears to me the best average from order to delivery is 6-8 mo,
Some do better and some do worse.
I’m at 3 mo. with out the order even accepted by GM yet.

Yeah I agree mine has been a long wait. I see guys getting trucks in 3 month turn around and it baffles me as to how the OEM justifies the decision and what they prioritize but I ordered a special edition and not just a stock work truck so that may have something to do with the wait. They may be filling orders with trucks they built for stock that fit the customer order that may seem as if it was a fast turn around.

I ordered a plane regular cab 2.7 turbo work truck and order hasn’t been accepted! I ordered truck on 3 3 2022. I have no clue if or when it will be accepted!I might try ordering a Ram and what ever one arrives 1st will be the one I accept!

I was in Flint, MI earlier this week and did a little searching and found about 5000 new Chevy and GMC HD trucks sitting in a huge parking lot behind the Flint assembly plant. Took several pictures but obviously couldn’t get inside the fence to get a better look. They were loading trucks out on carriers at the same time every few minutes another one was being driven in to park. No way to get an accurate count but I estimated about 5000 trucks. There were also several smaller lots with maybe 50 or so each nearer the plant sitting parked.

I’m in a similar boat, I placed my order for a 2022 2500HD LT back on January 29th. The order was accepted by GM the next week with an anticipated production date of 3/14. I got confirmation the truck has been produced and is waiting for delivery on 3/29. I haven’t heard a thing since. So I’m going on 4 months waiting for a truck to get delivered. I live in NE OH and Oshawa Plant is only about a 4 hour drive from my house and I’ve been told that I’m not allowed to go pick it up. It’s beyond frustrating.
