What is this piece in the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT?

      Underneath the glove box close to the floor on the passenger side of the vehicle there is this strange item seen below please explain what this is

      FOSS, the info relayed back to me claims that it appears to be an interior mounting stud going off what they can see from the photo.

      ya its weird its kind of an eye sore in the car and my girlfriend actually thought it looked like a camera so she freaked out hahahha… thanks for finding out i’m just wondering are they possibly going to come out with a cover for it ????

      We can only hope. It’s definitely not something that should be visible.

      @Foss Is it visible from the driver’s or passenger seats — or both? And is it easily visible?

      it is quite visible and from the drivers seat very much so from the passenger seat not to much it’s actually quite shiny so if there is some light reflecting off of it, it can be quite distracting. they should develop a cover or something to cover it

      Let’s hope GM is reading this forum – because while not totally ridiculous, it’s highly irritating. I’m not a Sonic owner, but given all the “quality testing” this car has been through, they didn’t catch something as obvious as this? Seriously?

      I don’t want to rag on the car by all means I absolutely love the vehicle actually just found it quite annoying that there is this random exposed piece on the floor :s but you are right they shouldn’t have missed such an obvious eye sore anyways hopefully this issue can be remedied but anyways I LOVE GM 🙂
