I just read something about new vehicles. I have a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado that has had 5 engines in it because of the number 7 spring breaking. Not sure any more dates but have every piece of paperwork from the dealership showing every detail. Yes 5 engines 5.3 Liter V-8. I can even prove that this was the issue because on engine 5 I purchased a superchip tuner to shut the AFM off I nam now at 182,000 Miles and no failures since. One year the dealership had my truck more than I did. They gave me a 2005 Malibu with a cracked windshield, not a chip or tiny crack it went the entire distance of the windshield. Then the service manager after he returned with the car (he took it to pick up something) says dont worry too much about the grinding brakes or the wobble you will feel when you apply the brakes. That was Royal Chevrolet in Coldwater, MI. I did not buy the truck there but they are the nearest dealer to home. I purchased my last 8 GM Products from Sundance chevrolet near Lansing, MI. I even contacted GM directly about the entire issue. I purchased this truck brand new in 2015. My Uncle was in upper management at GM truck and bus his entire career so I did use his discount. I told the lady at GM that6 I have a friend that does decals and I would have him make me 3 huge Lemon decals and put them on the truck and park it in the middle of town. So in the middle of all of this I had to pay to replace a Transmission and an air conditioner condenser, this is during the short spurts of time that I had the truck. And Not a safety issue. I beg to differ. I drove yearly to N.C to visit my daughter and I would have been smashed all over the road if that had happened at specific areas on my trip. Yes Dead Killed by the engine that kept failing. I am 58 year old Marine Served (1984-1992) and that engine scared me to death more than once. I have never ever owned anything but a GM product.Thye last 5 were Silverado Z71’s. Never again. I have been Driving for 42 years and never in my life was I treated the way that dealership treated me. (Royal Chevrolet). There is a ton more to this story but this is the jist of it. $586 per month to drive a 2005 Malibu. Really? Thanks GM for all the grief you have caused.Yes I do still own and drive that truck. Rocker panels all falling off and everything. But since I purchased that Superchip tuner it runs like a raped ape. Bust the tires loose in 2 gears when I manually shift it. That is not the issue here. It has 182,??? miles on it now It is paid for and all mine to do with what I please. The issue is GM knew about this same issue I believe it was like 1975 on Cadillac and sent everyone to the dealers to bypass it. All about that almighty dollar. They have enough Corporate buyers who cares about the average(OK above average I am a Marine) customer. They do not give 2 hoots. Wont get stuck with another one. Screw me once shame on you screw me twice shame on me.
