GM Authority does such a good job with the daily news letter keeping us informed of GM news and occasionally other brands also. With such an impressive feature I was grossly surprised to find that the tracking forum ( first offering on the home page) is totally ignored and the hundreds of requests by purchasers trying to determine what stage their order may be in do not even receive a courtesy note advising the service is not being provided. So I went to GM chat and found they have a box to check for tracking. They will even send an automatic update each week as part of their service. Then also I found two other forums where a salesperson is providing the tracking service on their own time, one such reporter is on page 405 on his forum…that is several reporting each page so you can see his dedication ( I received info from him on a 2015 order, 2017 and currently on a 2020 order. The other person is closing on 4000 pages of cheerful responses to tracking requests.
Come on GM Authority either offer the service or remove the Tracking forum.

I do not believe GM Authority will provide the vehicle order tracking basically because they may not have access and do not want to admit they do not have access for the following reason:

Quote from the About section of the GM Authority website, “GM Authority is owned and operated by Motrolix LLC. In addition to GM Authority, Motrolix also owns and operates the following properties:

      Ford Authority
      Fiat Chrysler Authority
GM Authority is not owned, operated, supported, or otherwise condoned by General Motors, its brands, subsidiaries, or partners.

So, I think we can forget about getting any information relating to any GM vehicle orders placed via this website.

Iassc1 I understand your point however other forums have an individual spending his / her time reporting the information to purchasers, their information is correct and up to date so I can summarize the information is not meant to be withheld. If that is the case and GM Authority has a specific section for vehicle tracking why are they ignoring the requests allowing them to collect page after page. Is GM Authority just complacent as to the interests of forum followers? If so why have the tracking section at all? GM Authority does such a good job reporting new GM happenings and such a lousy job with vehicle assembly tracking.

I agree with what you are saying; however, it is apparent that GM Authority Management has no concerns relating to their subscribers who have followed the instructions (I am guessing the instructions were created by GM Authority) relating to vehicle order tracking. Why GM Authority Management is not responding is a mystery, but I am betting that GM Authority Management just plain and simply do not care. Vehicle Order Tracking is more than likely a courtesy and does not generate revenue (Money), but I bet the news article section of the GM Authority website does!
