MemberMy biggest concern is the rumour and continues renderings showing that the VF Commodore will share the same tail lights as the Chevrolet Malibu. I think the Malibu is a nicely designed car but I don’t think its tail lights will suit the Commodore. The VY, VZ and VE Commodore models all had the tail lights in the top corners of the rear of the car and curved around with the panel’s shape. I always liked it that way and it made the Commodore design truly unique. What is everyone’s thoughts on this and the rest of the VF’s design?

ParticipantI think its a really good refresh of the ve/ve2, I already booked a test drive of the GTS when it comes out next year with my local dealer 😛

Memberi don’t like the recycling of GM parts. The Malibu tail lights belong on a Malibu, not a Commodore. I bet it will have the same steering wheel as the Malibu, Cruze and Volt. I love the Commodore’s steering wheel design and shape.

KeymasterI really like the design you posted above. I’m not sure that the tail lamps will be exactly the same as the ones on the Malibu though, but it makes for an interesting proposition. At the very least, we should see LED daytime running lights.
Mechanically, it should be a bit lighter and there will be new safety features on tap, including a collision warning system and blind-spot alert.
We should also see remote engine start, push-button start, a transition to electric power steering, along with an electric parking brake.
At least one of steering wheels offered should will be a flat-bottom unit, which isn’t found on other Chevys (Malibu, Cruze, Volt, etc.).

MemberWell i was kinda right about the steering wheel. Pretty much a GM generic design.

KeymasterBut it’s a flat-bottom wheel… don’t think that particular one is available anywhere else in the GM lineup.
