Hello, i am new to this forum. I have a question regarding the possibility of swapping a transmission into my buick. The vehicle i would be obtaining the transmission out of is a 1999 oldsmobile 88. both vehicles have the same motor, the series 2 3.8 n/a. I know the gearing needs to match, both vehicles have K as the 8th digit in the vin. I’m mainly just trying to figure out if the wiring to hook up the trans is the same in both cars, and if it would be a simple plug and play swap. If it isn’t super simple like a plug and play swap then what all would i need to do to get it to work in my car? i have this option or i can rebuild my current transmission myself.
