I have a 2015 Corvette Z51 with 8 speed auto trans. There at times feels like a gear slips a bit on acceleration. Other times its gives a rough shift between gears on acceleration as it would on a Manual. This only occurs while the car is first started. Once it warms up a bitthe shifting is fine.
Is this normal?
Haven’t heard of this myself with the new 8-speed. Does it slip/shift hard across the range, or just in certain gears?
PS: congrats on the awesome new ride!
I have a 2015 Z06 with auto 8spd paddle shift and the first shift of the day from 1st to 2nd always jumps into 2nd. Temperature is not the problem.
When down shifting from 3d to 2nd it does the same thing almost always. Doesn’t jump downshifting into any other gear.
This is not a complaint, just a statement of how my Z06 works. I can live with these qwerks. I had a 6 spd paddle auto in my C6 Z51 and now this 8spd paddle in my Z06 and love both.
