It was under 95 degrees for once tonight, so I decided to open the sunroff..and BANG. One of the wind deflector’s metal arms busted off where it connects to the guide rails..I thought the damn thing had shattered. I was barely able to push the deflector down and get it to close before it rained. Needless to say, it “rattles” like hell now as it is in 2 pieces, but still inside the assembly.
since this is all “motor” driven do you think gmpp major guard will cover it, or should I try to find one of these and repair myself (if that is even possible).?
I have a few other very minor issues I could take it in for, but I was avoiding it until something really bad happened. I really hate going to the dealer. 99% of the time, it is not a positive experience. BUT, I paid good money for a so far useless warranty.
