Does anybody else have a truck that just seems to be stuck in transit at the Flint plant?

We ordered our Silverado 3500HD in July, were notified that it was completed in mid-November, and was on a car carrier awaiting transport on November 22nd. It is now March and we still have not received it. Myriad calls by our dealer and us have been to no avail. Customer service is useless and there is no contact information for GM headquarters available. It is beyond frustrating.

My order number has been in transit for 5 months !
The GM team has told me lies since January 25th..
GM cares less whether you get your purchase …
I went as far as writing a letter via email to Mary Barra..lol
I know its not a dealer issue its a GM issue…
Today i have the opportunity to talk to the rep and tell him what i think about the awful experience!!!!
No i don’t believe he will do anything but lie to me..
GM has gone to a new low….!

I ordered my 3500HD In March of 2021 and it was built Nov10th 2021. It has been sitting stuck in transit in Flint for Months and i get the same response from GM Customer Service of Congratulations your truck has been built but you will have to remain being patient. The plant is 20 miles from the dealer and I live 10 miles from the plant. Is it really that difficult to deliver it FFS they are going to charge me almost $1700 to deliver it 20 miles from the plant.

We ordered 2500 hd high country in july, built in September. Placed on micro chip hold unit December 7 th. Pending dispatch since December 11th. I do not want to pester my dealer who has been fantastic throughout this crazy process. Emailed Marry Barra’s office several times. Recieved 6 phone calls from her team member Misty. We where told the lot the vehicles ,1000’s of them has been mismanaged and the trucks are not available to be shipped. Also that they are very short staffed and there are not enough truck drives. This is very discouraging coming from a international US corporation.

I live just north of Flint and they are stored in parking lots everywhere some dirt lots others are paved. There are thousands and thousands of trucks everywhere. I am of the belief they have lost my truck or it is parked in the middle of a lot somewhere blocked in and they need to move thousands before they find it. I ordered it 1 year ago and it has been sitting in a lot for 4 months pending dispatch. I am frustrated and very disappointed in the situation and will be looking the truck over very closely when I pick it up if it ever arrives.

I would like to know under what conditions my truck is being ” stored” . Being in Florida. Flint is very far away. It would be nice to know if it is in a muddy field full of mice. Being moved around with fork trucks.

Purchased a 1500 LTD from a dealer that showed in transit on 2/26/22 with a delivery date of 3/19/22. It’s now 3/20/22, and still at the railhead in Flint.

GreeneGuy1970 Did you ever get your truck from Ft. Wayne? Mine was also built there last month and all I get is “it has been released to shipper” and has been moved off site.

We apparently were very lucky. I ordered a 2500HD Duramax LT in mid-November. It was built the first week in January, and delivered to my dealership on January 21. But I was getting no information from GM, nor was my dealership…just kept hearing there was no update…and then it just showed up at the dealership. I don’t get it…but I’m not complaining!

In my opinion all of us that has made major purchase of a truck and has been lied too should start a class action lawsuit!

Hey guys fell/felt your pain I’ve spent endless hours calling dealership GM etc seem to be no rhyme or reason on how GM is handling this situation I’ve been waiting since 1/22 myself couldn’t wait any longer found and 22 2500 diesel AT4 and lost thousands cause I needed a truck but I still on hold for my original truck given being a lot less expensive. GM customer assistance offered 100,000 rewards points ($1000.00)and a $500 accessory certificate I guess it is better then nothing
But I can say that they just don’t care and there attitude seems to be “IT IS WHAT IT IS” cause all manufacturers are in same boat!
I know it doesn’t make it an easier pill to swallow!!
I’ve posted in other threads that depending on which factory truck was/is made in seems to be the issue
I’ve noticed trucks with the 7th to last digit of vin with the “1” are being built and delivered much faster then the “F” ones -

January of 2022 is a little bit different then waiting since March of 2021 but on a positive note I did get a call from my dealer yesterday it appears that they are starting to move trucks so here is to hopes mine will arrive soon

If’a truck plant builds 1,000 trucks each day I see no way to deliver them . Seems like maybe you need more delivery trucks I don’t know . When ft Wayne plant shut down did they continue to deliver trucks hope they are.

I can’t even get info from GM anymore. All they will tell me when I call is that it has been produced, and my dealership has all shipping information. Then I get an email saying it has been produced, but the system isn’t showing a location or status. I just want my truck…..
-
April 16, 2022 at 6:18 am #701709
I am in same boat although mine wasn’t even produced yet. Every time I reach out to GM they give me same lip service. You would think after spending $70k on a truck they would appreciate the business and provide more updates

I am curious if anyone has received their truck from the Flint plant and how long it took from build date to delivery? It was ordered March of 2021 and mine is going on 6 months since it was built and has yet to arrive at my dealer.
