Hey y’all I’m new here but in need of some serious advice. Today my dad got his ac fixed in his chevy but it only blew cold on the passenger side and hot on the drivers side. Looked into it and said it was the damper position sensor I believe and someone said to disconnect the battery to restart the computer and should fix my problem if the part isn’t completely shot. So I did left it disconnected for about 30 minutes which is a rookie mistake on my part I shouldn’t have even disconnected the thing in the first place but I started the truck up and started having low rpms while idling. After letting it warm up I took it down the street and it started stalling. It’d drive good but when you take your foot off the gas it dies. His truck is a 2004 chevy 1500 5.3 vortec. If y’all have any advice please let me know it’s his daily so I’m trying to get something done. Thank you.
