Hi in mid April 2023 I ordered a 2023 Silverado 1500 high country diesel and was just informed that they will be switching it over too a 2024. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this I still have not received a order number and was told 6 months from when I ordered the truck it will be delivered I don’t mind waiting but I would like to know if these guys are just wasting my time possibly

I think production for 2023 has ended and the 2024 is now being made. I’ve had a 2024 Silverado 2500 HD LTZ ordered since March.

Start of regular production on the 2024 1500’s starts Monday. You should have received a 6-digit/letter order identifier when you placed the order. If the dealer can’t give you that, they don’t have an order.

I’ve had a 2024 1500 on order since June 1st, hopefully I get a target production date soon.

I had a 23 2500HD High Country on order in Oct. It was converted to a 24 in March, and I am picking it up this week.

Regardless, if you dealer does not have allocation for that vehicle and trim package your order will not be accepted by GM. If there are constraints on anything it will be delayed. I ordered my in Blue and that color was not available yet so if i wanted my order to go through I had to change the color which I did.

I ordered my Silverado Feb 6th 2022 in dark blue…high country, every option. Still waiting! Dealer is no help!
