Has anyone had the parking assist chips retrofitted in a Silverado 2500 HD yet, I ordered my truck in March 22, it was built in Oshawa April 22. I took delivery the latter half of September, it took that long to ship it. Which I guess I was lucky I have the seats and steering wheel chips. But I do not have parking assist chip.

I don’t think you’ll be seeing that anytime soon. I got my truck in January 2022, and I just got the heated seats in December 2022. Heated seats were the first thing they were going to retrofit, supposedly early 3rd quarter…followed by heated steering wheels in late third quarter and park assist in 4th quarter. So you can see they are way behind. I just saw early this week that they were starting the steering wheel retrofit for the 1500s, and the 2500s lag behind. As I said, the park asist is the last of the retrofits, as far as I know.

Just received phone call yesterday from my dealer that my Vin # came up and they can order my parts for park assist on my 2022 2500 HD. Should install on April 21st.

Two weeks ago I decided to check the status of available parts. My VIN showed up! Got an appointment at the dealer. They told me it would take an hour to install. After an hour, the service writer came out to tell me that they didn’t know they would have to remove the rear seat. Didn’t know? So I’m still here. Waiting. I’ll update later. 4/28/23, 2:45 CT.

shrimper, I hope it works out soon. I agree it’s frustrating and as many new trucks as you’ve bought, it’s like you aren’t appreciated.
