Hi,
I did a mock pre-order for a 2013 Equinox 2lt and it appears that there will be no additional cost for Mylink with Colortouch and it will be available with Navigation. If that is the case, I am inclined to wait for the 2013 instead of purchasing another 2012 but wondering if Chevy will raise the cost of the 2013 and if we can expect other updates to the 2013?
Thanks,
~C
Good question!
Judging by what we know about the changes made to the 2013 Equinox (see link below), Color Touch Nav will be available with Chevy MyLink. In effect, MyLink replaces ColorTouch when it’s so optioned, but I don’t think MyLink will be a free upgrade — unless it’s standard on the 2LT. Here are the basic stair steps, starting with the base:

So I’d wait for 2013 if MyLink and/or nav is important to you. I know it is to me
well if you care about power and the availability of mylink along with the Nav then wait for the 2013. But if the 3.0 liter sounds fine to you then stick with the 2012.
The 3.0 isn’t really a bad engine it’s actually pretty smooth and i avg about 20-22 mpg in city and hwy. But it’s just that when starting you kinda need to push a little bit more gas since it only has 222 lb-ft of torque. I suspect that 3.6 will be a little bit more faster than the 3.0 (0-60 in 7.8 sec for the 3.0 and about 6.5 seconds for 3.6)
