I just bought a 2019 Equinox LT. it does not have the rooftop rails like 90% of all SUVs have. It boasts on the sticker that if has luggage Carrier provisions, roof mounted. That’s a lot of fancy double talk for there are plastic mounts on the roof. When I asked the dealership how much the vertical rails cost, I was told they don’t sell them. The only sell horizontal rails that go side to side. I said that I have seen the Equinox with the front to back vertical rooftop rails. I was told that was factory installed. Every horizontal rail I have seen attaches to the vertical rails. I don’t understand what GM is doing. I find it hard to believe I can’t get the vertical rails.
