Extremely upset over my 2024 trail boss roof. After using a touchless car wash the force of the dryer left a nice dent in the center about 6 to 7 inches back from the windshield. Chevrolet repaired the dent and added inadequate stiffening panels (crap) to the underside of the roof panel. Still oil cans when applying wax or sealant, terrified to ever use any type of car wash. Garbage fix a best. Ive noticed several colorado’s in town which all seem to have the same dent, most people are unaware the dent exists. Chevrolet will not allow me to speak to a factory rep. Keep refering me back to the dealer who have not a clue as how to further strengthen the roof panel, this is a factory issue and needs to be further addressed by the factory. 2023 issue now extended to 2024. Supposed to be fixed by 2024 but was not. Time to trade in my brand new truck. What to do now, class action suit.

Sorry to hear that. I don’t trust that touch less car washs, I prefer usual one.

Andrew, I agree, problem isnt the roof of the truck, its the car wash and the force of the blowers.

Its the roof, thats why gm issued service bulletin 23-NA-209 to repair all damage and apply stiffening patches to the underside of the roof bulletin includes all 2023 canyons and colorado’s now extended to 2024 models as well

Maybe you should by a tank next time, I am sure other manufactures would have the same issue. these vehicle are not made to withstand 1000 mph wind hitting them a foot and a half away. I could see it being an issue if it happens driving down the road and the wind caused the dent. I agree with the other comments, not the fault of the vehicle.

Seems to be the only model doing this, thats not an anomaly. GM authority put this out.

I looked up bulletin and its spot what he says is happening to his truck. The repair looks like some type of square patch that goes on the inside of the roof panel. At my dealership have never done one of these recalls and like everyone has said, I’d just stay away from the problem car wash.

There is an active campaign on this issue. Why wouldn’t the dealership install the supports before selling the truck. They are hoping no one notice the dent or contacts them. This is wrong cut and dry. My truck has 4,000 miles on it and has been at the dealership for 5 weeks now because of this issue. Should not of happened from the beginning.

It might now have a open campaign at the time they had it in inventory

The bigger question is why is it taking 5 weeks to fix you truck. I’d be all over the GM of the dealership on this one

My Dealer claims to have never heard of the issue. I gladly gave them the tsb and link to the issue. I was able to gently pound / tap with my fist and popped 90% of my dent out. I was hoping that a hot day and more tapping I could get lucky , no success yet . Haven’t looked into how to lower/ remove overhead console, to gain access to remaining dent.
