I have a Chevy Aveo LT 2009 and I’ve replaced the throttle body 4 TIMES! The first time it happened I was experience stalling, jerking, loss of acceleration, etc. eventually my check engine light came on and I went to the mechanic and got the code read and the code was P2135. The mechanic told me that it was the throttle body so I got it replaced and then a few months later my check engine light comes on again and had the same problems.
I took it to another mechanic and surely enough he told me the same thing so I replaced it along with the accelerator pedal. And then a few months later my engine light comes on again with the same problems. I went back to the mechanic who replaced it before which was in and he said that the part was defective and fortunately I had warranty on the part so he replaced it and that was in February 2021 and everything was good. Not even 2 months later and the check engine light is on. I went to a different mechanic on 04/22/2020 and he read the codes and it was the same P2135. he said that it was the accelerator pedal and or the throttle body so I get the pedal replaced again and literally the next day my check engine light is on. Ive had 4 different throttle bodies and accelerator pedals in a span of a year, I don’t think that’s normal. I’ve spent so much money and I don’t think I can afford to get the throttle body replaced again! I intend on going back to the mechanic, but if anyone has had the same problem or knows anything please help! I’m at my wits end

I see you didn’t get an answer. Try http://www.ChevyTalk.com, they have a very busy group over there.

Try following the cable that runs from the accelerator pedal through the firewall. There is a plug in that gets corroded or lose an it will cause the same fault code.

You should take it to a dedicated car repair garage instead of repairing it yourself

I have a jeep liberty but signed up on this to comment … I just had my throttle body replaced in february along with a bunch of sensors and goodness knows what to the tune of $1600 … my throttle body went out again and the mechanic came to check it out and said he will be back tomorrow to swap out the throttle body and that it is covered under the warranty. This is insanity!!

Has anybody found a fix for this? I have replaced my computer twice. I have replaced the throttle body seven-time. And I have replaced the pedal actuator twice. Also have a new coil new plug wires new spark plugs. There appears to be no specific time that it decides to act like this. Sometimes it will go for months without doing anything. And other times it would do it several times a day and I have to shut off and restart the car and give it full throttle
