I have a refreshed 2022 TB and after the trial data plan expired the “push to talk feature on the steering wheel is disabled and just comes up “can’t connect” with a red bar. I can answer a call with it and i can say “hey google” and it works. Has anyone experienced this? Also this system doesn’t even compare to Ford sync or Uconnect, Its very slow and not very user friendly. It’s designed to force you into purchasing the data at $25 per month.
I have been getting mixed answers on the google, onstar, wifi, data plans. I want to know if I can buy data and use the onboard wifi without having subscription to onstar. I have been told by those that should know any variety of answers. I wish someone could confirm this one way or another. When my trial onstar expires I guess I will find out and post here what I learn.
