Hello all!
I just custom ordered a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation with the 5.2L V8 and I had a variety of questions after seeing tons of different things online.
First, what has been your experience on the time frame from order to delivery with recent orders? Mines only at event code 1100/1101 which is understandable cause it was placed this past week.
My other questions have to do with these problems I keep seeing. What do I need to be on the lookout for and worry about?
I also saw there was a class action for the engine issues so was curious if the problems have been/should be resolved in these newer models or if its still likely to be an issue.
I’m not sure if one has been created yet but I found there are DFM deactivators you can install to bypass the DFM and was curious if these were worth the small investment or if they can cause more harm then good.
I’m in no means mechanically inclined when it comes to vehicles so speak dumb when explaining whatever lol.
