Anyone know how Long a Silverado that has been produced and released to the shipper sits before actually goes to the dealer?

We ordered our Silverado 3500HD in July, were notified that it was completed in mid-November, and was on a car carrier awaiting transport on November 22nd. It is now March and we still have not received it. Myriad calls by our dealer and us have been to no avail. Customer service is useless and there is no contact information for GM headquarters available. It is beyond frustrating.

I ordered my 3500 HD in March of 2021 and It was built November 10th 2021. It has been sitting in Flint Mi, 20 Miles from my dealer since then. I have been getting the same run around nobody can provide an update as to when it will get delivered I have contacted the dealer Customer Service that pretty much told me I just need to be patient and wait. Very Frustrated !!

I have a 3500HD that was built at the Oshawa plant in Canada, it’s been sitting at the rail yard outside the plant for last 3 weeks. I’m told by the dealer it’s waiting on the train, I contacted GM only to be told I need to contact the dealer but, the dealer says they can’t get any info from GM.
Whole process is frustrating, they’ve had my hefty deposit making interest on my money yet cannot provide customers who have ordered the vehicle any information along the way.

Does anyone have updates on your situations? I bought a 2500hd diesel a couple days ago that the dealership said that’s in transit (4300 event code)
Just trying to see what to expect.

4300 is intermediate delivery. Next will be 4800, at railyard awaiting trucking to destination. Shouldn’t be more than a couple weeks now hopefully.

My 1500 silverado was ordered in November 2022. Built in January and been sitting at the factory ever since. I’m beyond frustrated also.

Yes. it’s very frustrating for sure. I’m waiting on my Equinox and it;s a bit different situation. It was scheduled to be build and they moved build date back a month not sure that won’t happen again. and talking to an other dealer they say they have to wait up to six months to have a vehicle released for the dealership from rail in Vancouver to the dealership on the island. hope i dont have that issue.
