I replaced my o2 sensor last Saturday at a dealership the following Wednesday I get a check engine light. I go in today they saying it’s a 1400 dollar job it’s the catalytic converter bad. My question is why do I have to replace this part when in the first place I had a not working o2 sensor. Should of been covered in warrenty. I continue to ask that told me it’s above my head and can’t help. I asked him could it be the other sensor he said no it not emissions. He also told me I had two cats only one in the 2012 2.4 nox. Can someone help me I feel like this is wrong ,? Thanks
What is your vehicle?
Is it a 2012 Sonic by any chance? My daughter has one of these with low mileage and constant “check engine” light comes on for no reason that the mechanic can find, its become so bad she is now thinking of getting rid of it, mileage of 50,000 kms (30,000 miles) can’t understand how an Auto Company can put out a vehicle like this and offer no help, doesn’t say much for GM. Pretty sad for her with very limited resources.
its a 2012 checvy equniox 2.4 liter
Thanks! I will check further….
