mylink text messages

      does anyone know if the new feature of 2014 models with mylink to read & send text messages is able to be added to a 2013 model with an update? or is a totally different head unit?

      Not sure what vehicle you have?? All these systems are different.

      We can’t even get it on a 2014 Impala.

      i have a 2013 equinox, i see the feature is on the 2014 equinox with mylink. i thought that maybe since the system is up datable, that it might be able to be added. i did notice the impala doesnt have it also, but your right its the 2nd gen mylink. maybe ill have to ask the dealer next time i go there, i suspect they will be clueless

      The text app was on early mylink images for Impala 2014.. never made it.

      I’ve read that the 2014 Impala stuff isn’t upgradeable with any apps..

      The 2015 app store has been delayed too.

      I doubt a 2013 equinox is upgradeable.

      This does suck.

      well, hopefully someone will know, im not really that concerned since my vehicle is leased. but i have had me mylink updated once, but was a recall i think. so i know they can update the system with somethings
