My wife and I just purchased a new 2015 Equinox LT, I’m a bit of a tech geek and quickly realized there is the aforementioned MyChevrolet app. Our Equinox has remote start, just to get that out of the way. I downloaded the app, created an account, registered our vehicle, and now the “Vehicle Status” section has been saying Updating and Getting your vehicle information. We do not have OnStar subscription. Is an OnStar plan required to use the basic unlock/lock and remote start functions or do I need to give it more than an hour or so to finish updating?

Not sure if you have to have a subscription to use the Unlock/Lock or Remote Start because I have a subscription so it works. If you get in your vehicle and turn it on to Aux. it should get your vehicle information. That’s how I can see how much gas I have updated and tire pressures. Hope that helps.
