While getting a haircut this morning, my barber asked me how I liked the new Lacrosse I purchased. After explaining that the car is terrific in every way except the gas guzzling, high shift points programed into the Lacrosse transmission. Of course, he asked if I had taken it in to have it checked, and I related that I had, twice, and how Buick told me it was “normal.” He then asked a very astute question, “Then why does it have a six speed transmission?” I couldn’t answer that. He asked me if I had “buyer’s remorse,” and I had to admit that I did.
I dont know what mpg your getting, what their advertising with the epa numbers are definitely too high, but if you get 30 cruising on the highway and around 20 in stop and go, those are still pretty decent numbers for a car of that size.
