ParticipantI have a 2022 2500HD, and I’m looking for a music player that will function correctly with the infotainment system. All the manual says is that the player must conform to USB MSC standards. My wife has a player that works “OK” with her 2019 Equinox infotainment system, but it doesn’t work with mine. It plays music, but it won’t read the file structure and it doesn’t move from one song to the next properly. I have no idea if this is because of the player being incorrect, or just something odd about the infotainment system. If anyone has a player they know works, or understands what my issue is, I’d greatly appreciate the help.

ParticipantHello, I had a 2021 1500 Custom Trail Boss, with the 7″ infortaiment 3 system. It had the USB C and the standard USB A 1.0 at the lower middle console.
I was trying to use a USB drive to hold my MP3s. I originally purchased a 64G USB 3.0 and it did not work, not sure if it was too power hungry or too large of a size. Then I tried a very old 8GB USB 2.0 and it worked. I did not want the 3 inch stick acting like a lever to break off in the slot. So, I found the one below and it worked. Also I can leave it in without fear of it breaking off. It only sticks out a 1/4 to 1/3 inch. And it is like 7 bucks on amazon right now.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but it worked for me. I was able to tag favorite songs from it on the touch screen. If I remember correctly it played albums correctly, but if you played all I think it ran thru all the songs on the drive in alphabetical order. Can remember exactly, I sold that in September and ordered a 2022 2500 as well, still waiting for it.

ParticipantIs it possible to replace a music player on your own if it starts to work incorrectly?

ParticipantIf your music player has bluetooth that might be the best way to integrate it rather than through a USB cable.
