So Mr. Dutra wants me to defer my true opinions and thoughts of a generations shortcomings and kiss your feet simply because you’re older?

Well so what if you’re “offended”. Being offended doesn’t grant you any more rights or privilages than shivering in the cold does.

And furthermore, since when did you, YOU, speak for ANY generation? You’re not a fugurehead of a generation anymore than I am or anyone else on this forum.

There certainly a wide swath of events that marr and blacklist your generation and mine, events that don’t warrant respect or grivence from anyone.

Respect is earned, not given. It’s a rule that will outlive you, me, and everyone else on earth.

I don’t know if you are or aren’t of my parents generation, and it simply doesn’t matter or sway me otherwise. What you’re looking for an argument from your age; it’s an unwinable position to take as it doesn’t advance or give creadence to your argument; even if your ONLY argument is “I’m older than you, worship the ground I walk on”.

Now where’s your counter argument? Are you still going to play the “I’m older than you” card, because it didn’t work for you before, and it isn’t going to work for you now. The numbers show and my question is legit as such a demographic could diminish overtime and put Corvette sales in jeopardy.

Well congratulations are in order. You were born in America. That fact alone doesn’t make you or anyone else more important than someone from Cuba, Mars, the South Pole, or Japan. As for the “theocracy”, no, my parents did not live in one (thanfully), although their generation is marked by the formation of a few, again, not something worthy of respect. Also, if you think I’m making up the term “theocracy”, then it tells me you haven’t even Googled it, or have only done so recently.

I mean you did take the time to Google “Godwin’s law”. Surely you could do ‘theocracy’ while you’re at it.

Again, you, your generation, and any future and past generation, are only worthy of respect if their acts are respectable. I’m not going to “hand out respect” if acts of a generation are criminal, immoral, unethical, illegal, or uneducated. I don’t care if my stance on this matter offends you. As I’ve said before, being offended doesn’t give you more rights over someone else and never will.

So go on. “Offend” me. The worst you’ve tried to do is call me a “neo-nazi”, someone that was wholly unsubstantiated and baseless. Ultimatley, such lies about being a “neo-nazi” are unfounded and the words won’t harm me as they are just words. And I’m certainly not looking to get a cheap thrill off of being “offended” as you seem to be. It doesn’t advance your argument by lashing out at other and labling them “neo-nazi”. I’m not particularly moved by the listless arguments of unknown, faceless, old men who demand respect and offer none to anyone else.
